Love is an action word, it is why I show up in your DMs every day with a good morning and good night text. It is why I fill your home with books that you love. It is why I started building a library in your name. It is why I took you to Adun Olowosibi’s book themed snack shop, just because it is your favorite place in the world.

Love is an action word. It is why I never want to see you starve. Why I make sure your favorite small chops vendor delivers snacks to your doorstep every weekend. It is why I will never hesitate to take you out on dates, exploring new restaurants. It is why I indulge your cravings so you will stop knowing what it means to want and not have.

Love is an action word. It is why I will leave my house, even if it is during wee hours of the night to hold you tight when the monsters come calling. It is why I wish I could enter your dreams and erase the pain you emcounter almost every night. It is why I will never stop trying to make your days brighter and happier.

Love is an action word. It is why in coming days, I hope to help erase your trauma little by little. It is why I hope to show you that love is not blows and rough words and make up sex, but about care, pampering, communication, affirmation and doings. I will love you in action and not just words.
