Hmm outside of Hive, I use X/Twitter the most. I find the news flow is much faster than traditional media outlets and there are many people sharing their views about different topics. Over time, I kinda know which accounts to follow based on the quality of their tweets so that's a form of filter from the information overload.
I kind of dropped X because of the fact that things are evolving so fast that it's difficult to differentiate the true from the fake and the reliable from the not but you are right that after some time there are accounts that seem worth following.
Since joining Hive, I've used other social media platforms less and less. I was never a daily poster. Now, my X usage is maybe once or twice a year if I see some kind of competition. Facebook is limited to occasional sharing locations or checking in with old friends.

I use social media mainly to promote my offline business but it seems more and more difficult to do so.
It’s a bit late, but Facebook banned me ages ago, and I still don’t know why. I’m mostly on X; I only have a PRO account because of Grok AI, which is the cheapest option, but you can do everything from programming to photo and video editing.
And I’ve been on Reddit more lately because some of my posts there get more engagement than on Hive (though they aren’t monetized like they are here). And then there’s Blueskay, where I post links to everything I post here.
I think reddit can be good to get some visibility.
I am using Instagram, Tiktok and X. I work for some project on X, and I use IG for my office.

I've never really used social media that much. I am a ghost. Accounts exist and some people occasionally do find them but I am not active.
It's always a surprise when I go to facebook after a couple of months and see people have written to me and I didn't even notice... Makes me kind of feel bad but I wouldn't go back to use it on a daily basis.
I use Instagram and X only to follow the news through those channels or current trends. Not for creating content, just following them.
X and meta can be interesting to follow channels but I agree posting is not really fun...

I mainly use platforms like Instagram, X, and Facebook, as they allow me to stay in touch with friends, family, and communities with similar interests.
Lately I've been using them a bit more, especially to explore new content, learn about topics of interest, and share my own projects.
However, I try to balance the time I spend on them so that I don't neglect other important activities.

You are quite broadly invested and creating content on many channels. That's actually great if you want to spread your hive content to a wider audience.
These days none, I got tired of everyone selling my info for a profit. I quit Facebook many, many years ago and have pretty much refused to create accounts anywhere for that reason alone!
It's a business model that has its limits on all sides and I think over time things just get worse and worse...
I mostly use facebook to buy silver 😂 the rest just check some reeels once in a time to spend time but no engagement like here.

The only one I use is X/Twitter, although less every day. It bores me right away. I only go in to read, I stopped posting there a long time ago.
I first posted there, then went on reading and now stopped using it altogether...
Other than Hive, I mainly just look at Youtube. I havee quit all the other platforms.

My relationship with social media outside of hive is that I have an account on many platforms. I only use them to read post from friends and occasionally do task for games. 4 to 5 post per year.
Yea, it's a way to keep conected with some people I believe.
I use X every day mainly for crypto news
X can be usefull to keep up to date with what is happening.
non excisting anymore , i stopped using all of them.
If I didn't need them for my offline business, I would do the same...
The only social media platform I use every day is YouTube, both to consume and to create content. Apart from that I run a Facebook group for my membership site, but haven't posted anything on my public feed for several years. I occasionally post TikTok videos, but not recently. That's about it.

I've created a page for my pup on FB, and post there once a day😅 I do check YouTube, mainly for audiobooks and sometimes for DIY videos.
I use youtube a lot to learn stuff. It's still the best way to learn some things visually.
I post once or twice a month. It is just a quick record of my overseas getaways. :)

I’ve been using Facebook and Instagram more—they’re the platforms where I have a few contacts outside of Hive—but I’m not really into them; I log in for a bit, then log out, and that’s about it.
Yes, they can be ways to keep connected with people...
I rarely do so. So far I am keeping mainly to hive rather than other social media.

Well, I need it to promote my business but it's not fun to use and very frustrating lol
I use just YouTube if it can be called social media. There I most part of the time watch tutorials music videos or movies. Also I use telegram but it's more messenger for me than social media.
I don't consider youtube social media, at least the long form videos, that are really a way to learn things.
Ohh my fault I remembered now about my LinkedIn page, bluesky about which I knew here from @ acidyo post and here we have vk.com (but don't use it) so it looks I'm not so conservative as I thought

I use X and YT outside Hive, but as a consumer. Mostly YT for watching certain podcasts, but have grown my usage of X lately as well.
I love watching youtube videos or listening to videos while driving. It's a great way to learn some things :-)
