Tribaldex is actually an exchange in the Hive that supports the Hive second-layer tokens, and it also holds the standard or recognized currency in their "swap" format, like BTC, LTC, DOGE, or BCH etc. Also it is not only the exchange it holds the liquidity pools of other currencies too, liquidity pools give the opportunity to earn for the liquidity providers by earning fees or earn by incentives for providing the liquidity in the pool.
Earning by providing liquidity is one aspect of the Tribaldex, another aspect is that Tribaldex supports both exchange listings (like Buy and Sell Order books) and also the liquidity pools (of course, those pools are created beforehand, if the pool does not exist, then you will not able to take advantage of these.) I observed that the user still performs "Buy" and "Sell" using the traditional interface, In some case they keep buying and selling until their goal is completed. Personally I am not admirer of this approach as it drive or crash prices like crazy in the limited "buy" and "sell" order existing in the market. In this case, I will suggest using the diesel or liquidity pool on tribaldex.com
Also, there is another opportunity to earn by checking the price of the token in the liquidity pool and in the normal buy and sell order. And you can put your orders on both sides of the order book in a way that you might benefit from swapping the token in the liquidity pool if your order gets filled. Though this is a valid strategy but it is difficult to execute because market maker bots are already doing the same for the profits and it is hard to beat them.
Another opportunity in the Hive-Engine, I find trading in tokens like DEC and Hive against Hive price fluctuation. I generally purchase the token like DEC when the Hive price goes up, and sell the DEC when Hive price goes down. It means when Hive price is going up , then I might buy 1000 DEC for 5.5 Hive. Once Hive price goes down, you might be able to sell same DEC for ex 6 Hive per 1000 DEC, effective earning a profit of .5 Hive per 1000 DEC. This worked for me many time in past but it involves lot of luck factor like Hive goes up first, then it goes down, and DEC price remain constant. One can replace DEC with swap.HBD so that it's USD price remains constant.
On the contrast, vice versa of the above strategy can also be used.
So, currently, I am providing liquidity to the Hive Engine pools like of ATX and cent tokens pools to get daily liquid reawards. Also I do trade in tokens buy and sell, but it is more like luck while liquid pools give me daily income but come with risk of impermanent loss.
Any way, generating income is an added advantage but main functionality of tribaldex is that act like an exchange also act as a bridge between Hive Tokens, Hive, and tokens/coins outside the Hive Ecosystem.
I have some tokens in the pools, I should take a look at them, hopefully I still remember how to.
