I feel your pain.but note that God has a better future and hope for us which is stated at Isaiah 25 Vs 8 and Revelation 21 Vs 4&5 regarding death. So don't blame your self so hard because you didn't call or visit him before he died it was never your fault. What happened has already happened and it's not anyone's fault, but also at John 5 Vs 28&29 and also Act 24 Vs 15 there is still hope, so if he did what was good in God's eyes he will be resurrected.
