Are Foundation cards hurting Splinterland's economy?

Frontier league and foundation cards are a great way to start in the Splinteland's game. With Splinterland's created the seperate frontier league and winning dailies in Frontier league rewards with you with the cards or packs (based on your league) along with the Frontier draw entries. Also Foundation cards max level is half of the other decks, so having foundation cards do not help much of you are playing at max level. Since I am myself stuck in the Bronze league in Modern where I witness that player are excessively using foundation cards and I am sure , Silver leagues are also not an exception.

When jackpot cards got live, I myself encountered few Champion level account in Modern league playing frontier league for jackpot rewards. Not sure, if these accounts are continuing to play in frontier league as jackpot rewards are hard to get but I'm definitely witnessing some increased difficulty in Frontier League after the introduction of the jackpot cards.

Foundation cards are strong and Cheap.

If you notice that opponent has used Rebellion Dual Archon Zeddica of common rarity and cost of this summoner is almost $20+ and if I compare my level 3 rare archon "Incessant Sage" of foundation card set then you can buy it below $1.50 and if you are more lucky then you can get a single copy of this archon at 5 cents and your overall cost is just 70 cents. In second position I have a legendary foundation card Great Bear Druid at level 2, It just cost 15 cents for level 2 in the market at current prices. To protect my tail, I have used level 3 common Foundation New Beluroc Aegis , which just cost 6 cents in present market price. So they are definitely cheap cards but do they help?

I am directly showing you round 5 of battle, not going much in the battle as I did not intend to write a battle post. You can clearly see how my combination of foundation card, along with conclave arcana cards (some of them are reward cards, that cost less thab card comes in set) , I am able to win battle.

Since foundation card are cheap and in their level they are not that weak and you are geting it either free or in so much discounted price, so are these cards are really eating the market that will be generated due to conclave arcana card sets?

Anyway, I will encourage player to play more and do check on foundation cards to fill up the gaps. I guess Splinterland's team already have anticipated this issue and this may the reason they have handicapped the level of the foundation cards. They want to player start strong in lower league but had to shell out little more to reach Diamond and Champion leagues where SPS flow freely in rewards as compared to Bronze and Silver leagues.
