Hey everyone, it's time to make another @splinterlands blog post to take part in this weeks Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, if you're reading this and don't know: Splinterlands has two challenges every week for players to make a post about, spreading the word how great this game is basically, when your post is good you have a chance of getting this nice juicy upvotes from other people in the Hive community as well as from the team, with these earnings I'm buying new cards to future proof my deck.

So I recommend players to start blogging, one day I thought this wasn't meant for me because my English isn't perfect, a friend convinced me to just start it and three years later, I'm still making weekly blogs!

Something else to mention, I'm used to make my blog posts on PeakD, this week I'm testing Inleo to make my post, I think I did everything to earn Dash with my post now, so let's see how this goes! When you know exactly what it takes to earn Dash and make posts on Inleo, please let me know because I'm not entirely certain 😆

So, about six weeks ago I already made a post about this topic, about making plans for when the new set, Conclave Arcana launches in April 2025, while this still feels far away I can tell you, we will get there faster than you think! 😆

Every splinterlands player is in a different situation, different cards, different part of the world, different finances and some players may 'only' play one account while others have two or even more.
We all have to make plans for this big change and while it will affect me a lot - I'm now playing with max level Chaos Legion cards in Gold 1 - Diamond 3, after Chaos Legion is pushed out of Modern, I'm forced to downgrade my account again, because I simply can't afford the high level cards. I think this is still a good thing because as of now, Modern League is very top heavy and Gold players and below gets tossed around by a lot of max level decks, so it's less fun playing in Modern for them at the moment. I know because my alt account has a gold level deck! 😅

So, the plans we make are different for everyone, and we will not know the details about the new set for quite some time, and the sale of the Rebellion packs will stop soon, don't sleep on Rebellion!
I'm sure the team won't make Conclave Arcana so strong that Rebellion cards will have no or little function.

Because I talked about this before, just in short: I'm hand playing two accounts at the moment, this account owns most of the cards but I delegated my complete max Modern deck to my alt account @nozem so it can harvest more glint, my alt will be my Modern Silver account after the change so I'm preparing it to have as close as I can get to max Silver level reward cards so it can be competitive and hopefully I will have an edge against other players at the start this way.

With the earnings I make from making posts like this one and some private money I put in to the game every month I consider 'play money' I'm buying cards or SPS, and lately I'm buying Rebellion cards to prepare for next year, and I'm not the only one!

Just a couple of weeks ago, I was buying Underboss Fabino for 40 - 45 cents per BCX:

Now look at what's the cheapest on the market at this point! 😱

Crazy, right!? that's a 5x for single copies!
So, I guess once Rebellion is sold out and people realize they need certain cards after they can't play in Modern League with their Chaos Legion cards anymore prices will spike like this for all Rebellion summoners, and I'm not even talking about the arrival of new players!

So, because I'm slowly buying (I wish I could fast buy but no one has infinite funds) I completed my first Rebellion summoner at Silver level, it's Prunda Undervesch!

I think having the dual splinter summoners will have big advantages over player who don't have them in battles that limit the card options like Even Stevens but there many more rule sets like this.

When I've completed my common summoners I also want Risqruel Drath and Elias Max Pruitt, hopefully they will still be affordable by that time, Lorkus and Tofu are a lot better but they're very expensive!

Don't sleep on the promo's

Maybe you think the Promo cards are just for the whales, and I partly agree with that, high level promo's are way too expensive for me, but some of them have key abilities at the low levels, @aftersound or Gathering the Magic recently made a YouTube video about this, I'm not sure who, be sure to check them out both for great Splinterlands content.

One of the Promo's I already bought myself was the Mana Warden, he gives the Shield ability to the card in front of it, making new options, especially useful in matches where melee attackers can attack from any position like Super Sneak or Melee Mayhem.

So, one of the YouTubers made me aware of another card I actually thought it would be out of my price range, so I pretty much ignored it, it's a very annoying card to fight against though because when you don't kill it quickly, it halves the damage of your entire team!
You already know what card I'm talking about?

It's Baron Fyatt! Of course it gets much stronger at higher level but both of these cards have their key ability at the lowest level!

Be sure to also check the other promo's when you have some money to spend, Sanctus Vicar is really useful in Poison matches, and Night Stalker is a great sneak monster, even without the Execute ability it gets at higher level which is out of my price range.

Conclusion

Plan ahead and be prepared! No financial advice, always Do Your Own Research but in my opinion these cards will get more expensive in the new year.
Today Bitcoin finally reached the $100k and blast right trough it, this money will eventually flow to the smaller tokens and some of the profits will probably flow in to web3 games just like Splinterlands, earnings will go up attracting more players and hopefully we will have another cycle like 2021, when I was the new player coming in.
