RE: Sam’s Hangout #114 - “PARENTS AND UNSPOKEN FEELINGS”

Greetings my lovely friends and happy weekend.

I believe many people have things they have always wanted to say to their parents but never had the courage to express. Sometimes it is because of fear, respect, or not wanting to create problems in the family. Some people want to say “thank you,” while others want to express pain they have kept inside for years.
Personally, I think it is never too late to speak honestly with our parents if it will bring peace and healing. Even if they may not fully understand, expressing your true feelings can help lift emotional burdens and improve relationships.
If I became a parent today, I would create an environment where my children feel safe talking to me without fear of harsh judgment. I would listen more, communicate openly, and make them feel comfortable sharing their fears, mistakes, and struggles with me.
Although secrecy can be part of growing up, children should never feel afraid to speak to their parents. Open communication helps build trust, love, and stronger family relationships.

Yeah you are Right. It sounds basic but it really changes everything. Kids open up when they feel heard, not judged.

You are absolutely right, creating an environment where they feel safe talking to you is very necessary in raising kids...

Exactly, that safety is the foundation for everything else.
