What is your Hive project? What ideas have you come up with? What do you write about? What is your Goal here on Hive? What do you get out of it? What is your favourite part of Hive? What keeps you coming back here every week, posting and voting and sharing your ideas with the world?
For me, it is Web3.0 and a new chance to build a better world-wide-web in a web2.0 world that has been centralized and packaged up users in a ad-market. Hive is a fresh start-- a user-centric network where reputation is built up and the web-pages are permanently stamped into the currency itself.
A lot has changed the past 5 years but I hope to put on future Live events and use Hive for audience engagement. My live stream is called The Bit, and I started an Interview show called @HiveCoffee. I don't do much with it right now, but it's meant to be a place to discuss good ideas. The goal is to talk to guests who are also on Hive, or talk to people and help them start posting on Hive.
Meetups for coffee and Bitcoin talks are good, but most people don't have enough money to buy Bitcoin. With Hive however, anyone can get started by signing up and begin writing stories each day. By powering up their earned Hive and increasing the reputation of their account, they can attract the built-in audience who curates /Created each day, and gain new followers. On the old web, the only way to find your website, was to join a banner exchange, email someone the link, or physically show them your website. On Hive you can get started, and begin publishing right away.

I absolutely love Hive for its true decentralization, empowering creators to build reputation and stamp content eternally on the chain without Big Tech gatekeepers. Perhaps enhancing governance tools for community decisions could make it even stronger 💪🔥
I came to Hive (St**m in those days) in order to make a play-to-earn game since the chain was billed as fast and free. A couple hard forks later and this (at least the free part), of course, was made into a lie. I then spent years posting daily to build up the HP/RC needed to run such a project and now I quietly work on it in the background.
I also wanted to sort of crowd fund a wind/solar project, but after seven years and a precipitously fallen coin price I've managed to accrue a whopping $2k (not enough to do anything - and I'd probably get downvoted to oblivion if it was even moderately successful anyway).
Why am I still here? I dunno...addiction? Invested too much time, money, and energy to feel good about letting it go? Probably a little of both...maybe even a little bit of a sick desire to someday have the power to counteract some of the other "actors" in this space.
Regardless, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon as far as I can see, be it passion or just being stuck.
