Should I wait for the BYD Solar Car for $8,000 ?

I need something that can get over 1,000 km on a single charge. Maybe it hasn’t been invented yet ?

My Son owns a 2025 Prius Hybrid, he loves it. I have a 2021 Nissan Leaf.

I think we are finally making the switch away from gasoline… but not ready for full
Electric … too many road trips across Ontario and don’t want to get stranded in Algonquin Park with all the BigFoot sightings

I am also a member of Vancouver's MODO Car Cooperative, if I need an auto with a much better range I can always book one of 150+ ICE vehicles on an excursion basis.
Otherwise, the Leaf is perfectly fine for me.
