I think hive is an impeccable system of strong influencers, developers, activists & overall genuine people.
With the added benefits and tech our Blockchain provides, we are not going to fail, but to get a big upside, we need to attract big crypto whales to see what we are up to.
I have said much the same in the past. Hive could easily be like Medium and Reddit, plus there have been dapps that worked kind of like YouTube, but these projects get starved in favour of weird and unmeasurable projects that I suspect use sock puppet votes to get at the $$$$
I'll not toot my horn in your comment area but my many thoughts on the topic are easy to find :)
At any moment I go on and explore the recent feed, I could be scrolling back to an hour of old posts and if I'm lucky may find 1 or 2 posts that interest me enough to click and open it. It's pretty grim tbh.
A lot of the people who join Hive now are not interested in creating valuable content to produce an earning for them. They are interested in creating content because someone told them just throw out some shit and you'll get a few cents. And if you're lucky you might even get more than a few bucks. The mentality is totally screwed. That's what's failing Hive
I can find plenty I like on Hive, but I am picky about who I follow to keep my feed interesting. We have some top quality creators, but we have to face the fact that we are tiny. I expect that 99.9% of Youtube is crap, but they have millions posting videos. I think a lot of Hive issues are down to scale, but I don't know how to fix it.
You need to find an audience for whatever you do and other platforms provide a potentially bigger one. Hive has the rewards, but also freedom. I think our best chance is to grow in niche areas to start with and build from there. I hang around the musicians, runners and general geeks.

I agree, we need more builders! And we can go both ways, gaming and influencer/content, and maybe even more!
Slowly setting more and more foot in the game as builder/developper, trying to add as much value on as many different fronts that I can!

I love such confidence that in the attention economy, Hive has been the leader for 8 years. I don't know this because I only know three chains by experience, and Hive is superior to those two.
Wow... I'm glad someone like you thinks good of this platform. Its quite amazing.
