The burn post feature in PeakD sends the author rewards to @null. This reduces the amount of coin floating on the market. HIVE has a function that periodically clears the null balance.
HIVE Engine just lets the null account accumulate but ignores it in its market cap calculations. You can see the coins sent to null on HiveStats:
As I understand, curators keeps the rewards. It only burns the author rewards.
NOTE: Some people run burn posts in which they claim that they will manually burn the rewards. I suspect that some of them will burn the rewards for a particular alt-coin and keep the rest.
Please @buildawhale, really I don't know you and your mission in Hive Blockchain and its related communities. Please what offence did I commit that resulted to the burning of my creation rewards and tribe tokens?
