I Made a Mistake (A Poem)

You left me with a broken heart and broken bones
This is enough torture knocking on my doors

You can't imagine the time spent in deadly silence
You will not realize the baggage from emotional violence

While I can't bring the pieces of myself together
I tell myself someday it will get much better

I wanted a relationship that would be so beautiful
Like the makeup I put on my face, so colorful

But, relationships are just a chaotic circus shows
Either they are elephants or monkeys, who knows

Someone brings you luck, the other shits all over it
Someone gives you love, the other takes it all bit by bit

I was wrong about everything, I admit I made a mistake
This is not a driver's license test I can over and over retake

Once an ounce of hope you only had is extinguished
All you are left with is an empty list of dreams you wished

I need someone to sugarcoat relationships to me
I need to learn the alphabet of love for free
