The Ripple Effects of War

The world has been plagued for years, and the effect has been devastating, not just to the people where the war takes place but also to neighboring countries. That negative effect has spanned to affect the world economy, our economy system at large, and most of all, it has deprived the world of peace, making people live in fear, unsure of what the next minute or hours has in store for them. Despite the fact that it's been decades since the last world war, it has seemed as though the world is about to embark on another war with the recent outbreak of war between different top countries, and I must be honest to say I'm actually afraid.

Talking about the war taking place around the world at the moment, to be honest, I'm afraid and unsure of what the future holds, because we all know it can go either way, to either escalate or subside, but with all that we've seen, I don't think anyone would want to give up on this way. Given the fact that some nations have lost their leaders, they might be committed to embarking on a revenge mission. War between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for years now, and now we've got Israel and the USA coming together to wage war against Iran. It's disheartening seeing the amount of damage this war is causing to lives, properties, and the world economy.

These wars are affecting the ordinary people in many ways. Take, for instance, the majority of the airlines that have planned trips to these places can't travel again because of the possibility of getting struck down by missiles. These have caused businesses to lose missions, and it has also made individuals lose a lot. Take, for instance, people who have plans, business trips, and the like. And that's not to forget its effect on the world. Take for instance the canal where fuel is being transported from the Middle East to the USA and neighboring countries, which has been on pause, thereby affecting the world economy and making fuel more costly. Even here in Nigeria, fuel has increased by about 5% due to these happenings.

While I really don't know the cause of this war, I must say that we must, as a people, walk towards living a peaceful life among everyone around us. There's no point in showing how powerful you are to others or trying to ascertain dominance over others. We're all equal, and everyone should be allowed to do their things. Everyone should respect their territory and sign a peace treaty that allows world leaders to agree to not go to war against one another, because at the end of the day, war leads to destruction and loss of life, while peace brings about growth, progress, stability, and much more.
