Hello to my fellow community members,
Today I checked out a platform called Arcade Colony, which I came across thanks to the Hive blockchain. While exploring it, I found some games I had already heard about like Splinterlands and Genesis League Goals, but I never really played them before.
I noticed a lot of Hive users were talking about this platform and posting content, so I thought, why not give it a try myself? That’s when I found out they have their own token called Colony Token, which is used as a reward token on the platform. You can actually stake it and earn rewards from it. Sounds interesting, right?
So today I finally registered on the site. Signing up is super simple. You just need your email address and your Hive account. If you’re using Hive Keychain, you can easily connect your account. As you’ll see in the screenshot below, I started off with zero tokens in my wallet.
To buy Colony Tokens, you can use TribalDex or Hive Engine, both are decentralized exchanges where the token is available. I don’t know if it’s listed on any centralized exchange yet, so you might want to check that separately. I personally used TribalDex since I had some HIVE tokens there.
I ended up buying 5000 Colony Tokens, and once I did that, the data updated right away. Check the screenshot below.
Now friends, to send these 5,000 Colony Tokens into the game, you need to click on the 'Players' option, as shown in the screenshot above. After that, you’ll see an option for Hive Engine, which I’ve highlighted in the screenshot below.
Then, you’ll see the 'Stake' option at the top, on the far left side. When you click on it, you’ll get the staking interface. That’s where I staked my 5,000 Colony Tokens, as shown in the screenshot below.
So yeah, staking is done. I’m not exactly sure what kind of rewards I’ll be getting, but I’ll definitely share everything I find out in the next few days, maybe 4 or 5. So if you’re curious too, stay tuned and don’t forget to follow me on Hive for more blogs on Arcade Colony.
