LISTEN MY YOUNGER SELF

In the journey of life there are so many regrets, opportunities, joy, struggles, betrayal and love. Everyone has their own share of experience and teaching that life taught them, it can be during their youthful age or during their adult age. Growing up has not always been easy for me due to some situations and circumstances that surrounded me at that time, it got to a point that I thought that the universe is against me alone and it was doing everything possible to see that nothing goes well for me.

To my younger self who is still not certain about what life has in store for you in the next couple of years, firstly kudos and well done for all the challenges and trials you have passed through and yet you are still standing firm with a strong resolve and determination to keep pushing regardless of how hard it gets. You are a survivor and a disciplined child so please continue to follow that path diligently through hardwork and discipline while also showing love and compassion to those around you.

There are things that you will face that you're not yet prepared for but I assure you that nothing is impossible and you will overcome gradually as time goes on. I know you have alot of dreams, plans, desires that you want to achieve and in that regards I want to remind you "wake up", yes you have been putting in efforts and working diligently but it's still not enough because what you're about to face need more preparation than what you had imagined it to be and you might loose it if you don't steady yourself.

I know you put other people's problems and needs first but I want you to also consider yourself more often and invest in yourself also because not everyone that you assist or provide for even consider you worthy of their time, only your money and assistance matters to them. I want you also to learn how to politely say NO to things that you can't accommodate in your life and situations that will lead you to problems and compromise on your value.

Say NO when you have to, even if the other person will feel bad as long as it is the right thing to do because going forward alot of people will take advantage of your simplicity and try to manipulate you to do things that you're not supposed to do and also apply more pressure on you just so they can feel free and relax.

Remember, don't make decisions when you are angry because it will lead to regrets later on and also whenever you want to make any decision, think about it thoroughly and carefully before implementing that decision taken because those decisions will either affect you positively or negatively. You will approach a time when most decisions in the family will depend on you and at your working place you will be expected to provide solutions to situations.

Don't relent and keep pushing on, because one thing is certain which is hardwork and discipline always pays.
