I am writing again after almost 9 days, and Splinterlands is a game I used to play every day. Due to some reasons, I was absent from both blogging and gaming. But now I am back, and I am back with my very first battle, which I am going to share with all of you.
This battle was between Aurelia and Incessant Sage, and it was a low mana cost battle.

Through this battle, I want to explain why the number of monsters does not matter as much as choosing the right monsters according to the mana cost. If you do not focus on that, you will most likely end up losing the battle.
Below is the lineup where you can see that I came with Aurelia and took only 2 monsters, while my opponent came with 3 monsters using Incessant Sage as the summoner.

On paper, a 3 vs 2 battle usually looks like an easy win for the opponent. Even in terms of health and total attack power, my opponent clearly had the upper hand.
However, I had Dread Tafarian, which comes with the Heal ability, and along with that, I had a legendary ranged attack monster that deals 3 damage in a single attack. That last monster alone was strong enough to change the outcome of the battle.
In the screenshot of Round 2, you can see that the battle came down to 2 vs 2, and at that moment I was already confident about my victory. It was clear that Dread Tafarian would keep healing itself, giving me a strong advantage.

In the final round, the opponent’s ranged attack monster moved to the first position. At that point, the battle became completely one sided because a ranged monster cannot attack from the first position. That is how I managed to secure the win.

This was my first battle after 7 days, and apart from that, I also completed my daily rewards today.
From the rewards, I won Dread Tafarian, Sword Guardian, and Colossus Raider. I am happy with these rewards because my main goal is to upgrade my cards, and every card I win helps me move closer to that goal.

That is all I did in Splinterlands today. I am going to buy some chests soon in order to boost my progress in the game as well.
