Splinterlands - New league, Rewards, and a battle with my newly won card, Dire Bear!

Greetings to all the readers here,

Here I am with another Splinterlands blog, and today’s post is a little different. I achieved many things in Splinterlands today, and I am really happy to write about them because all of this is happening for the first time with me.

The very first achievement of the day was getting promoted to a higher league. As you can see in the screenshot below, I am now in the Bronze 2 league. Because of this promotion, I also unlocked some rewards.

In the screenshot below, you can see that I received 5 Bronze loot chests. I was really excited to open them because this is the first time I have ever earned league promotion rewards in Splinterlands. I did not know what I was going to get, but I was hoping for something good.

After opening the chests, I received 3 cards, 1 energy, and 1 legendary potion charge. I did a little research and learned that the legendary potion charge can be used while opening reward chests. It increases the chances of getting a legendary card, which makes it a valuable reward.

Along with that, I also earned my very first daily rewards in the Bronze 2 league. In the screenshot below, you can see the rewards I received.

I won 2 cards, named Codex Sage and Dire Bear, and I also received 1 more entry into the weekly draw. This felt really good because I am slowly starting to see progress in my gameplay.

Now, let me share one of the battles I played today, because a Splinterlands blog feels incomplete without a battle story.

In the screenshot below, you can see my battle lineup for one of the matches I played. I managed to win this battle, and I was very happy with the strategy I used.

I decided to use Dire Bear, the card I had just won. The mana cost for this battle was 49, which made it easy to include this card in my lineup. In one of the middle rounds, as shown in the screenshot below, the battle situation was 3 monsters versus 4 monsters, and I felt that I might lose the match.

However, the situation changed in the final round. As you can see in the screenshot below, both remaining enemy monsters were using ranged attacks.

I also had ranged attackers, but together they were dealing 5 damage per round. Because of this advantage, it was clear that I was going to win the battle.

In the end, I managed to secure the victory, and it felt really satisfying. Getting promoted, earning rewards, and winning a battle on the same day made this experience very special for me.

That is all I did in Splinterlands today, and I am really happy with the progress I am making.

Thank you

Greetings,
Earning that legendary potion charge is a nice bonus for your pack opening.
Do you have a favorite strategy or card you're hoping to use in Bronze 2?

For now, I am trying to learn about taking the low mana cost cards in a battle.
