One Talk, Two Accidents, and a Lesson for Life

Greetings to all the readers here,

I was talking to one of my friends recently, and we were discussing how life has been going for both of us. The new year has already started, and that gave us an opportunity to reconnect.

As we grow older, we often have to find reasons or moments to talk even with the closest friends in our lives.

We are not able to talk every day anymore. But the good thing is that if someone is truly close to you, you can connect even after a year and still feel the same bond.

While talking about life, I shared with him how things went wrong with my grandmother. After that, he shared his experience about how things went wrong with his father.

He especially mentioned how elderly people often meet with accidents in bathrooms because of slippery tiles.

Bathroom slippers are often very slippery, and because of that, elderly people end up falling. These falls can lead to broken bones or serious injuries.

He told me that he recently bought good quality bathroom slippers for his father. When I heard that, I told him that I had done the same thing recently. We were both surprised to realize that we were thinking in the same direction.

Talking to him made me realize how compromising on small things, like bathroom slippers, can cost us a lot. The loss is not only financial, but also emotional and physical.

In the case of my friend’s father and my grandmother, both of them fell and got injured. My grandmother suffered a bone fracture, which is extremely painful, especially at an old age.

That is why I believe it is better to spend a little extra money and buy good quality slippers. Along with that, it is very important to think carefully about the type of flooring used in bathrooms.

Many people choose tiles only because they look good, even in bathrooms, without thinking about safety. This often leads to slippery surfaces and accidents.

A better option can be stone sheets, which were commonly used in houses built in the early 2000s and even before that. These surfaces are less slippery and much safer. Even if someone prefers tiles, it is better to choose tiles that are designed to be less slippery or almost non slippery.

At the end of the day, health should always come first. If we are unable to protect ourselves or our loved ones, then there is no point in focusing only on decoration, especially in places like bathrooms where accidents are more likely to happen.

This topic might sound a little awkward to talk about, but it is something I discussed with my friend, and it made me think deeply. That is why I decided to share this experience here.

I hope you liked reading this, and I would love it if you shared your own life experiences with me as well. There is always something new to learn from each other.

Thank you
