STAYING SINGLE
Staying single in this world is not really easy, especially for some of us who love to love. You can call me a lover boy, but that isn’t the reason I love to be in a relationship. I see relationships as critical in human life, by relationship I am not talking about romantic relationships, but relationships in general. No man is an island and thus everyone needs somebody. But then again, there are those who need one person that would be closer than the rest, and there are those who do not which by the way I find very weird.
I believe in relationships, I believe in love not just because I see it in movies and love the idea of a perfect relationship which I don’t, but because I have understood that I do better with the right people by my side. And having the right partner for me is more than having gold. The right person by my side would give me more than what gold can offer and that is not just a thought, but fact. In my life I have been fortunate to experience true love, I have been fortunate to know how it feels like to be loved by someone and to be honest, once you have that feeling, you won’t want to lose it.
But then again, loving someone takes a lot of work, it is a lot and if you are not ready to put in that work, then it’s best to stay out. I guess this is the reason some people would prefer staying out because they do not want to put in that work for someone who might hurt them again. Yeah love is also a risk, I guess some of us are just risk takers and others prefer to play it safe.
