MY JOB IN 10 YEARS

I consider my job very tasking, tasking because we are at the forefront of technology and no matter what happens we will always be the ones the world would look to for updates on new technological advancement. Today my company uses AI tools for marketing because I said so, it’s not a bragging right, it’s just my job. It’s my job to know what’s new, it’s my job to know what’s trending, it’s my job to help my company understand how they can benefit from technological advancement, and it’s my job to teach them how to use the new tools that come up every time.

As an ICT personnel, technology revolves around me. The business world especially would be needing more ICT people in the next 10 years because of the rate at which technology is taking over the world. This is one thing I love about my job. A lot of people still underestimate the ICT department in today's world, and to be honest it’s really annoying especially when it’s the same people that run to us over the smallest issues. Before now in my company, a lot of staff looked down on my department, but today, some of the major sales that the company gets is from the ICT department.

As technology evolves so would the ICT department evolve. This is why I do everything to stay up to date on the things going on in the world of technology because I know that for a fact that the moment I slack, I am done. My job will only be on the line when I stop learning. In order to succeed in my job there is a level of ambition that is needed, and it’s not just any ambition, it is the ambition that leads one to knowledge because it is what I know that makes me stand ouT.
