AVOIDING SCAMMERS

One major issue with the digitalised world is the issue with scammers. They are everywhere, especially on the internet and social media space. They are not even hidden, and a lot of them do not even hide their intentions. If you pay attention to details it's often easy to read in-between the lines. Scammers only succeed when people become either greedy or desperate. I know this because I have tried to be a scammer in the past and I have been scammed as well. There was a time many years ago when I just tried my hands on dating apps, I met some women online who were desperate to find love and I offered them love. They were ready to pay me a lot of money, but I declined at the last minute because I knew in my heart that I was only lying and playing with them.

I have also talked in the past about how I was scammed off the very first $1,000 made in my life. It was an experience I would never forget and if I remember correctly it was because I was greedy and wanted to multiply my money. One of the ways to stay off scammers is to be content with whatever you have because only then will you be able to avoid the greed trap of scammers. Another thing I have learned is to double check every information to be sure it's authentic because desperation is another tool scammers use on people. Right now on hive this is the trending tool a lot of Scammers use, one time I reported a problem with a transaction I made on hive keychain and someone gave me a form to fill.

The form asked for my email and key and because it was looking strange I decided to hold on and not rush off to fill the form. Later on I was told that it wasn't the community moderator that replied to me which made me understand that on hive you would never be redirected to another platform to fill up anything, so even if a known moderator gives you a link, you must openly verify it by asking questions via your post or in the general chat of that community. That was what saved me that day. Otherwise, I would have been a victim again.
