AI and Managers: Can Machines Build Real Partnerships?

The work of a manager will still be relevant in ten years' time, now stick with me. I am a Dealer Manager at Palmpay LTD and a Business Developer. My role as a business developer and a business manager at Palmpay is crucial to the growth, income and development of the organization, my department is an income generation department whereby our main goal is to establish partnerships and generate income through our partners.

Now as a business developer and a manager, I am the bridge between the partners and the organization, I ensure that every partner comply and follow the rules and regulations of the organization, I also motivate the partners to boost sales, handle any complaints/hinderances they might encounter in the process of making sales.

My job and the Industry in the human relations management can only evolve but not replaceable through Artificial Intelligence [AI], because my job requires human psychology, talent, experience, and a physical presence to establish the business, manage the business and expand it into many more territories, AI cannot be advanced to the level of doing that alone, there would still be human efforts required to coordinate things.

Most jobs won't disappear entirely, but they will evolve. In my department, in 10 years' time, AI taking over is a big fallacy. It's something that can not be done by machines alone, most roles will shift from doing manual tasks to managing systems or supervising tech.

For instance, a well trained and experienced business developer knows how to close a deal with a skeptical partner, reading the room in a physical meeting, sensing when someone is demotivated which requires human efforts, likewise building long-term loyalty, through genuine empathy.

There are certain soft skills we humans need to learn/adapt, which will help us to stay valuable in the game, like empathy, complex problem-solving, public speaking, presentation and human leadership, we humans have come into this world for the purpose of evolution, those who stay unguided or stagnant will be replaced by those who are talented and can use AI to their advantage.

AI is also evolving every minute, we humans need to evolve and stay ahead of the waves as well, the invention of machine is to make humans do less work, not to erode humans from working entirely.
