Summer is my favorite time of the year, and not even the heat can ruin that for me, as there are several alternatives to mitigating it.
Unfortunately, we’ve not experienced much from the scorching sun, as it’s been raining back-to-back with little sun light in between.
You know, people often say to me that they find it weird summer is my best time of the year. I also hear them complain that they can’t cope with the heat, but you see me? I thrive in it.
When it comes to coping with summer, I do it effortlessly because I love the heat and the sunshine. I love how dry the surrounding gets and how bright the cloud looks.
Basically, summer is a time when my normal routine comes alive and as someone who loves light and free-sized clothing, summer is the only time when I dazzle in the lovely outfits in my wardrobe. For fabric, I prefer cotton, as it has this cool and soothing feeling when it rubs against the skin in the hot weather. Not to mention it also facilitates airflow, especially when the clothing is a free size.
For appearance, I prefer bright colored clothing since black is known to absorb sunlight and convert it to heat, causing the fabric to feel hotter. On days when the sun is scorching, I try to wear more bright colors and fewer darker shades.
Again, when it comes to footwear in summertime, you’ll mostly catch me in slippers or sandals, as I find anything clinging to my body a bit of an inconvenience.
On a norm, I don’t feel comfortable wearing shoes, as it feels too tight for me even when they’re my size.
So, away from my outfits and shoes, I enjoy the rotating air aided by the fan’s blades, especially in the evenings when the sun is down. The AC’s cooling effect is also a welcome relief after a hot day.
I also enjoy cold soda or beverages during this time especially when my throat is dried and cripsed from thirst. The feel I get from the cold liquids that I consume is indeed Heavenly, not to mention highly refreshing too.
My friends mostly pay me a visit during summer, as
my refrigerator is always packed with different kinds of drinks and beverages. My favorite is the chocolate beverage, which was a daily routine consumed chilled every day before the close of work.
Sadly, I can’t even enjoy myself at the moment, as it’s been raining cats and dogs. The pack of yogurt that I bought for my parfait is almost expired, with some bottles left. Unfortunately, I didn’t calculate my purchase, as I had bought it close to the end of summer.
Now that the weather is mostly cold, I have cut down on my parfait intake, as I can’t eat at room temperature and that's why the yogurt still lingers.
Overall, summer is a time when I drink more water to keep hydrated. With each home-cooked meal, I consume a minimum of one liter of water as it aids in my digestive process.
You know I discovered that summer is the only time when I can enjoy these chilled liquids, AC, cold shower
etc without fear of catching a cold or being ill from the flu or pneumonia. Currently, I am counting down to the next summer as I can't wait to get a feel of it again.

I totally agree with you on this. Summer is the only time I enjoy cold bath and AC. But guess the sad story. Here in my neighbourhood, power supply is scarce during summer

Yes the thing I like about summer is how dry everywhere is.
Who doesn’t want a friend with a full refrigerator 💁
