I have been driving my car for long drive frequently but today I used it for checking my mileage. I recently gave my car for service and since then mileage was not very great. I have a Tata Nexon 2021 model and it's been like 5 years for the car. This service was a bit costly one because I had to spend about a lakh on my car. Some of my friends suggested changing the car but since I spent a lot of money on the car, I was thinking of changing it after about 2 years.

The quality of the image can be slightly poor because I took it from my mobile camera while driving.
After my recent service I had been getting a mileage of only 13 km/l in highways and inside the city it was only 11 km/l. Today to my surprise it crossed 17 km/l. I'm happy about this because this is a great save in fuel. Tata Nexon car is famous for not giving enough mileage. My friends who used to have this car sold it because it gave only 10 km/l for them. Even for me if I'm not driving it cautiously, I would get less than 13 km/l in highways. I'm still thinking if service was the problem or the E20 petrol was the problem. But today's trip confirmed that none of that was the problem.
E20 problem is something that is emerging in India where government is adding Ethanol to the Petrol. I'm not sure if it is really happening or not but they keep saying that. I was also thinking that the drastic deduction in the mileage was because of that but now I know very well that the problem was because of the driving style only. Maybe it can be a contributing factor but I wouldn't say that it can be the only problem. Now I can confidently say that my car can continue to be efficient for another 2 years or so.
