Most needed switch from a laptop to Homelab PC

I have been thinking about this for a very long time now. I already have a small homelab setup but I'm interested to expand it further and use it as a full fledged system that I can access from anywhere. I have a ew servers on Hetzner that I have been using. I recently moved some of my apps from those servers to my homelab. They are not business critical ones, so I don't have a big overhead in this move. I'm thinking of doing the same with some more applications. I currently dont have a powerful PC in my homelab. That's going to be my next focus.

I moved away from desktop computer to a laptop because it was easy to carry on my travels. But today with the help of technology we can do anything and I'm able to make my Homelab be very helpful so that I can access all my coding needs from anywhere with just a browser. So tomorrow if I have to travel, I should be able to do all my activities from my iPad or a small laptop by just accessing the browser. I have been using antigravity for my coding needs. Recently they have introduced a feature where I can use my antigravity window from anywhere with just a URL. This is really amazing.

This is when I thought a Homelab PC should be the best option because even if I'm away from my home, I don't have to carry too much with me. Just a device that can access my gadgets online would be super cool and that should be sufficient. For example, I was in a relative's house yesterday but I was just sitting in their couch with boredom as I had nothing to do. If I had taken my iPad with me with this setup, I could have just done some vibe coding by sitting on their couch. This can even work out when we are travelling. Hope this becomes a reality soon.

That's a good option although it doesn't offer mobility. Like today I stayed about two hours at Starbucks with my laptop and did my thing. One thing that I have is an Intel NUC that I access at times remotely and use it for different jobs and agents running on it. That can be an option.

It is a good idea as long as it serves you better. Of what use is a gadget that doesn’t do what it is required of it. I’m sure it will do the job well and since you can assess it online it makes it more important. There are some that we have that you can only access or use when you are at home.
