ITR filing is not as easy as I thought

Only 3 more days left fire filling our incotax returns. I still haven't filled my income tax returns. I thought the process will easier but not as easy as I thought. I have been filling my income tax returns for the past 10+ years. Earlier things used to be very tough and the site was also very slow and not very great. After a major update to the site, it has been a great experience for both auditors as well as individuals.

Usually there is innovation every year to the site but this year I almost spent 2 hours and I was unable to enter the details from my form 16 to the respective columns. I don't know if they have made it very complicated or it has become beyond my knowledge. But in general I think it can be far better. I understand that there are plenty of options available but I would say that it should all be user friendly.

There are some variations and restrictions available on the site but there is no explanation on that. The problem is for someone who is not a CA and if they try to submit their filing by themselves, it is not very friendly. I think new tax regime people find the website to be pretty much straight forward. The problem is only for the old tax regime people I guess. I'm going to give it another try on a couple of days. If it doesn't work out I'll probably find someone who can help me out.
