Is Social Media a distraction or a place to learn?

Sometimes I spend a lot of time on Instagram watching a lot of reels. Only after about an hour or so do I realize that I have been spending a lot of time there. I mostly spend time looking at the achievements of other people and gathering ideas. I don't know if it is good or bad, but it is inspiring, and it keeps telling us that we can also do things better. But most of the time the motivation or inspiration stops right there, and I don't end up putting it to good use after that. I have saved a lot of videos there, and I'm not sure when I'm going to put them all into action.

I notice that it is not just me; so many other people are also doing the same thing, but some people gather ideas, and they are really successful. Sometimes I used to wonder if I started something today, I would be able to be successful or not. I cannot say that for sure, but if I look at the market, there are so many software engineers graduating from their colleges every year. They are all coming out with only hopes, so there is going to be something or the other for them, and the world is still operating.

From what I have learnt, social media is both a distraction and a place to learn, but it is how we take it. There is a lot of knowledge available on social media. We should not be overloaded with that amount of knowledge, and at the same time, staying away from social media is also not very good because people lose opportunities if they don't have a social presence. From all the success stories that we see there, doing is more important than dreaming, and we get to know how people do it instead of just dreaming about it. Many tips and tricks will be visible to us to carry out what we want to do.

If we start something and it doesn't go really well, we get enough experience to share with others. I think that's what people do on social media, and that's how they are able to inspire everyone and motivate everyone. The right people take it in the right sense, and they are able to see success there.
