I have not participated in any of the IUC contests before but after seeing this topic, it was tempting to write on this topic. It was an interesting experience for me. I used to be a content writer writing some articles whenever I got a client. But back then I did not have any writing jobs with me and I was looking for one. About 7 years back it was the very first time I heard about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency altogether. Before I talk about my Hive story, I have to talk about how I got familiarized with Crypto. There was a group in my office with whom we spent almost 1 hour every day discussing cryptocurrencies.
Everyone in that team invested in Bitcoin and a few other altcoins and it was tempting I also made my first investment. I invested 50k INR which was close to 500 $ on Bitcoin when the price was 5k USD. Many people said that we were late to the party and I had no idea what that meant. But we were very fortunate to see the price increase. The price of BTC touched 13k USD back then. I thought I shouldn't get more greedy and I booked my profit at 10k and it was a 100% profit on my investment.
This is the first seed for my journey in the crypto space. After seeing the huge potential here, I was interested to explore this technology and wanted to see if I can use any of my skills in the crypto space. Back then I was not a great developer I did not know where to use my coding experience. I was looking for an avenue to write some articles and earn money through that. As blockchain technology was very hot at that time, I was surfing through Google looking for content writing opportunities in the crypto space. That's when I landed on Hive (Not mentioning the former name).
The first thing that I saw was the trending page and I was surprised to see many people earning a lot from the platform. That's when I got more curious and wanted to explore and understand more about this place. I have to admit that I had no idea what cryptocurrency was all about and I couldn't even believe that we could make money here. I landed on the https://hive.blog/faq.html page and I digested the information on that page for nearly 2 weeks. It took me almost a month to understand everything about this platform.
I created an account earlier but it took me a while to understand the platform and start posting. Later I was able to understand the community's strength and was able to make a lot of friends here. That's when I realized that I can do a lot more here than just writing blogs and earning from the blogs. Of course that happened too but I got inspiration from many people who were present on Hive even before me.
Today I'm a part of almost 20 projects on Hive in one way or the other. I'm very happy about it and I wish to have many more years on Hive.

Hi you are the first person I saw within my hive journey who openly admitted that yes he landed here because of crypto hehe. As multiple of us give the credit to content creation. Well you took a short time to learn hive am I right, might be you are more smart in comparison to others .
Lol maybe I was patient enough to give it more time to understand everything here. Hive is always a learning experience. We keep learning something or the other.
People like me are so sluggish that they learn each thing in years hehe just a medico mind may be
It must have indeed been a thorough research. Getting to understand the web3 ecosystem especially seven years back will be a tough one. Even as we speak, there is still a lot I have to learn from this ecosystem. Thanks for sharing.
My journey on hive was not easy at all, I had to give up countless times. To make profit off cryptocurrency, you must be patient.

It's a shame that I wasn't in the crypto world until recently, I missed out on some very good opportunities. Your commitment to Hive is evident and how you view it as a long-term thing.
I think it took everyone a while before we began to post on Hive
I ran away for a year before I came back
Hey there sorry for disturbing you in the middle of the discussion but I saw your name in hive learners, you have delegated to the wrong account, can you glide into their discord ?
I joined it when it hard forked everything over from Steem 😂😂
I was there when it happened and I witnessed the entire episode.
A good start that triggered the further journey with no way back, nice!!
A beautiful history of your life involving crypto and hive. You have succeeded in hive
I entered the crypto world in the 2021 bullrun. Splinterlands, Hive-based game, made me discover the Hive ecosystem. I really enjoy both and recently started to post on Hive. I must say, of all the projects i discovered in the last 3 years, Hive is the most evolving and solid one! Cheers :)
That's really nice. All the best for your writing journey.
mhmm! started from the bottom now you're here!! Inspiring story I must say.. Cheers to many more years and more new projects on Hive!!!
Hive has really been one of my journey and which I didn't play with it actually
