Where Does True Happiness Lies?

Life is full of sadness, sorrow, strife, insecurity, economy hardship, betrayals, disappointment, heartbreaks, jealousy, misunderstandings, work stress, violence, and every negative thing one can ever think of, taking away reasons to smile or be happy.

At times, we think our happiness lies in the things we want to achieve in life and then it becomes a hefty to-do task as we try to achieve them but they keep turning the other way round and the so-called happiness becomes so hard to have and moves farther away.

I had a time in my life when I thought or even based my conclusion on the fact that my happiness comes from the people I love, but until they started leaving me either by mortality or through their human act and then I get to understand that my conclusion wasn't right.

Later in life did I or many of us in general realize that happiness only come naturally from what we do and not by what we achieve in life.
Some times, I feel heavy in my heart and my head, like a lot is stuck in there and there is nothing else that could make me feel lighter or bring smile to my face than when I do what I love most which is singing. Yes! Singing. Initially I thought it was art alone, like drawing cos whenever I do it, I find peace, I'm happy that I'm actually bringing out things from my imaginary land to reality but then making art at times deals with emotional state and you would only paint or draw what your emotions are at that time.

But singing? Song gives me hope that even when it's not working out yet, it will still work out. Singing is like the best thing I know how to do not for a competition but as my personal thing. Where I get my happiness and peace at any point or situation I may find myself in. When singing, I forget every of my problems and after I'm done, they become lighter as a burden.

Until we find out that very thing we do that makes us happy, we might have misplaced priorities of what makes us happy.
