Talking about diet and a healthy lifestyle will be closely connected to calories, carbohydrates, protein, and fat. A healthy lifestyle is formed by meeting calorie needs that contain nutrition according to our goals, if we want to gain weight we can have a calorie surplus, and conversely, if we want to lose body fat then we need a calorie deficit, that's why both need to fulfill a healthy nutritional intake, and safe for people who are bulking or cutting.
In this post, I will share information about one of the macro nutrients that every human body needs, I started with carbohydrates. One of the macro nutrients that is important for all of us but can also harm us if we use it incorrectly, I will explain what the function of carbohydrates is and what effects they can cause.
Carbohydrates are nutrients that are a source of energy for the human body and are the main source of energy needed by the brain. These substances contain organic compounds carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen which consist of several sugar molecules which are a source of energy. Sources of this nutrient can be found in almost all foods, whether whole or processed foods, compared to protein, where not all foods contain amino acids. Because it is an easily available source of energy, this carbohydrate can trigger various side effects if humans consume it excessively, one of which is diabetes.
As an important source of energy for the body, carbohydrates can also be used as energy reserves that are stored in the body, excess glucose will be converted into glycogen and then stored in the liver and muscles.
Carbohydrates are an important source of energy for the human body because this nutrient helps us provide the necessary energy and the source of carbohydrates is easy to find because almost every processed food product has carbohydrates on its nutritional list. However, because it is easy to obtain, we often consume too much of it, so excess carbohydrates enter the body if we consume above the daily requirement, they will be stored as reserve energy, and if they are not used they will be converted into fat. That's what makes people fat or overweight because they have an excess calorie surplus so if this energy is not used it will become excess energy reserves so it will be stored as fat in every part of the body.
If we already understand the concept of TDEE (Total daily energy Expenditure), then it will be easy to adjust our diet according to the body's needs. If we want to lose weight or fat we have to increase the energy that comes out of the body, such as doing activities that move the body like jogging and running, we want to increase We need to increase our body weight by increasing the energy that enters the body by eating above the daily calorie requirement.
I am not a nutritionist or doctor, I am just someone who likes knowledge related to the health of the human body, this post is only to share information that I got from various sources, and then I shared it with all of you. So please remember that this post does not suggest anything that could endanger our health, ask a doctor or medical expert if you want to do something related to health.
Carbohydrates give a lot of energy to our body system. It provides adequate source of energy that we want to do our daily activities!
I agree with that but, keep it mind that excess consume of carbohydrate can cause insulin hormone. Thanks for sharing your thought.
