So my new job has me working on weekends, so my "weekends" are technically Tuesday and Wednesday. On top of them, I also didn't work on Monday, so it has felt like an extended rest.
To be honest, it flew by faster than I thought it would and it always just feels like there's never enough time off.
My wife wasn't around for the most part because of work, so I basically spent the day at home playing videogames and well, just relaxing.
Today, I jump straight back into the rat race of life. It's Thursday, which means it's office day and that means that it's the worst day of the week.
I find that I'm the least productive when I go into the office and that's for a variety of reasons. There are a lot of people in the office, so that means there will be distractions and I also have to adhere to all the protocols and let's not forget about the traveling time that sandwiches the start and end of the day that just makes me tired.
When I'm at home, I don't have to wake up early, get dressed, deal with office protocols and most importantly, zero minutes spent on the road. This ensures that all my energy is focused on the tasks at hand and I'm laser focused.
Anyway, it's back to the office for me now and I'm already looking forward to my next time off. Until then, the grind continues and we continue chasing this bread.
