This digital age in general is the development of digital devices or technology which marked the beginning of important changes in people's way of living such as their work, how they communicated, changing from regular newspaper to different means of getting information and so many others, coming back to music where do we see the changes? That is what we would be pointing out in this write up, since digital is all about the invention of technologies we would then be stressing on the impact of technologies to music. The changes in music in aspect of digital technology is really significant which helped in giving music a different perspective.

As of then the tendency of music spreading wide was only through radio while television was not rapid but my point exactly is that the means was limited back then but looking at the digital it brought about the internet it opened people's eye to a wide use of this internet examples are our Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Television, all this platform have made it simple and easier for the expected audience which we call the listeners to search, find and listen to the music it even gives us the opportunity to discover new music depending on what we like to listen to.

Also back then they use cassette, tapes, to distribute their music after production but because of the invention of digital technology people this days have totally forgotten about all those cassette they now use all those Amazon, Apple to stream their music as well as social media this helps the artist to create the music, produce the music, share it using these platform and expand their music plus they earn extra money using these platform, we see cases where they are been paid for people watching the music, liking it and so on, the reviews the get back from their listeners helps the artist to understand it's listeners and then shape the music for better consumption.

Coming down to the digital change in terms of the instruments been used, there was traditional instruments back then which are the trumpets 🎺🎺, harps, guitars 🎸🎸, drums 🥁🥁, flutes 🪈🪈, cymbals and many more while the invention of digital technology did not do more of new inventions of these instruments rather it upgraded the traditional to suit the digital for instance we have the electric piano 🎹, electric guitars, electric violins, it was more of a combination of traditional and technologies. After the combination we saw the difference where digital instruments tend to produce more sounds like a wide range of sounds than the formally used ones, the production of this sounds gives more meaning to music, makes it more interesting to listen to and gives it a unique sounds.

What has actually changed is the method in which we listen to music, the medium in which music is been distributed, the types of audience, the mass productions, the extra money been gotten while using this digital technology is what actually changed so far, I might not be able to touch or cover all the aspects where digital technologies has changed but I hope I have done justice to the effects it has made in music.
