One of the great things about living in the countryside as a photography lover is that you never run out of subjects to take photos of. The other day, I went out for a bit to get some sun. I do this during my break from work, so I can stretch and wake myself up.
While staring at the view outside, I saw this familiar arthropod slowly crawling on the ground... It's a Cyanide millipede!

This little flat-backed millipede has several names. It's sometimes called the cyanide millipede or almond-scent millipede.
They're called the former because of their defense mechanism, which helps them against their predators. They release cyanide, which is said to smell like almonds.
The cyanide they release is too low to affect humans, though, but it may cause some irritation... so don't be fooled by their interesting color! hahaha
Anyway, after taking the photos above, I saw another cyanide millipede inside our store. It was slowly crawling up the wall. I think it was trying to get out of the garage through the open ceiling.

I could get some really close shots... look at those legs and segments! Its structure is so cool!
Nature is indeed amazing... There are a lot of interesting things we get to see every day! :) I hope to take more amusing photos in the days to come!
I'll end my post here. Thanks for checking it out! See you! (^^,)/
