The temperature in Beijing drops to below zero during the winter. January is the coldest month of the year. In January, all the water bodies, including lakes and rivers, are frozen in the Huairou district. This is very true in the northern region where I currently reside. Almost all the lakes and rivers in my area, the Huairou district, are completely frozen throughout the whole winter. I had my last visit in the wintertime, which was in early February when I saw the frozen lake but now the lake is completely unfrozen which I have also posted recently in this blog.
All of these photos of Yanqi Lake, which is completely frozen have been taken with my phone and I have shared the unedited version to let you expolore the raw nature and it look like in the winter time as the grey vibes with harsh weather is visible in these photos though the air quality was amzing but the natural glow from the nature is seen to be faded away. I often go there during the summer time, but in winter it is not so easy to go there with the cold weather and harsh environment without much attraction to the area, and the same for the tourists also, in winter, very few tourists visit the area, but it is full of tourists during the summer time.

This is one of my favorite place wher I can find the purest oxygen and also peaceful surroundings with such natural tranquillity, which is quite hard to find in large cities. I love sitting on the wall of the barrier that is built to keep the water at a higher height in the lake and enjoy the moment till evening, but in winter I came back earlier as the freezing cold could make me do cycling into catching a cold.

I hope you enjoy my photos of the beautiful frozen Yanqi Lake and its surrounding views in the Huairou district, which is a close place to my living area, with natural scenes and bright cloudy weather in the wintertime. The view is beautiful from every angle, with the colour of the mountains, trees, and with eye-catching soothing beauty in such weather. If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them as much as I can.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wishing you a good day!
I took all the photos, and these are my own property.

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
Yanqi Lake is a very large lake. Was the cold in Beijing so severe that it froze?
Definitely, all the rivers and lakes in Beijing are completely frozen in winter! Often, the snowfall happens in late November, and the snow stays until early March to melt. So, winter is like true winter in Beijing; in my living area, the lowest temperature has gone up to -17 degrees this year!
