Venus, the airhead [EN/PT]

Winter has arrived around here, and patches of sunlight have become much more sought after by our pets. Venus isn't really a fan of sunbathing, to be honest, but there are days when the cold gets a little harsher and even she gives in to the warmth. I think that, because her fur is black and absorbs more heat, she feels satisfied much faster than our other dog. It's hard to truly compare their longing for a sunny spot.

These photos were taken on an ordinary afternoon while a little nap was in progress. Venus is a very photogenic dog, in my opinion. She isn't nearly as performative as Margot; in fact, she seems to live in a world of her own, always distracted, just minding her own business in her little universe. I often call her "airhead" because that's exactly what comes to mind whenever I look at her lol.

O inverno chegou por aqui e os raios de sol passaram a ser desejados com mais frequência pelos nossos pets. Vênus não gosta tanto de sol, para ser sincero, mas há dias em que o frio está um pouco mais forte e até ela cede a esse momento de calor. Acho que, por seu pelo ser preto e captar mais calor, ela fique satisfeita de forma mais rápida que a nossa outra cachorra. Não dá para comparar de fato o anseio pelo sol entre elas.

Mas essas fotos foram tiradas em uma tarde qualquer, enquanto um pequeno cochilo estava em andamento. A Vênus é uma cachorrinha muito fotogênica, na minha opinião. Ela não é tão performática quanto a Margot; parece, na verdade, que vive em outro mundo, sempre desatenta, apenas ali na dela, em seu mundinho. Costumo chamá-la de "cabecinha oca", pois é isso que penso quando olho para ela lol
