The square rocked [EN/PT]
Yesterday was one of those days when you get home exhausted, but with that feeling that it was totally worth it. Lots of music, fun, and people. Wow, I’ve never seen this square so packed! This weekend, my city is hosting "Rock Day," which is actually not just one day, but three, and it kicked off on Friday with an old-school band and one of the most renowned punk bands here in Brazil. It’s hard to believe those old guys can still get up on stage. Garotos Podres, what an amazing band!
Yesterday it was the turn of Nação Zumbi, a very famous band in Brazil. I personally haven’t listened to them that much, but I know a few of their songs. I took my son to experience their sound, and he really liked it. I didn’t have a nice cold beer this time because I’m taking medication, and that wouldn’t have been very wise. Maybe that was the first time I’ve ever gone to a rock show without having an ice-cold beer, but it was still really great.
I took some photos during the show. The crowd was really energized and, I’ll say it again, I’ve never seen this square, which is actually a pretty large place, so full of people. Besides the great bands, many of them very well known, the event also had plenty of other attractions, like craft beer stands, flash tattoo spaces, and shops selling t-shirts, keychains, caps, and other event-related stuff.
Anyway, it was a really awesome night, but it’s not over yet. As I’m writing this post, I’m already getting ready to enjoy another night of rock this Sunday!
Ontem foi um dia daqueles em que a gente chega em casa exausto, mas com a sensação de que valeu a pena. Muita música, diversão e pessoas. Uau, eu nunca vi essa praça tão cheia! Neste fim de semana está acontecendo aqui na minha cidade o "Dia de Rock", que na verdade não é apenas um dia, mas sim três, e começou na sexta-feira com uma banda das antigas e uma das mais renomadas aqui do Brasil no estilo punk. Nem dá para acreditar que aqueles senhorzinhos ainda conseguem subir no palco, "Garotos Podres", que banda sensacional!.
Ontem foi a vez de uma banda muito famosa no Brasil, o Nação Zumbi. Eu particularmente escutei muito pouco dessa banda, mas conheço algumas músicas. Levei meu filho para conhecer o som deles e ele gostou bastante. Não tomei uma bela cerveja desta vez por estar tomando remédio, e não seria muito prudente. Talvez essa tenha sido a primeira vez que fui a um show de rock sem tomar uma cerveja bem gelada, mas ainda assim foi bem legal.
Tirei algumas fotos do show. Muita gente animada e, repito, nunca vi essa praça, que é um local bem grande, tão cheia de pessoas. No evento, além de ótimas bandas, muitas delas bastante renomadas, havia vários outros pontos atrativos, como cerveja artesanal, espaço para flash tattoos e lojas para comprar camisetas, chaveiros, bonés, entre outras coisas relacionadas ao evento.
Enfim, foi realmente uma noite muito legal, mas que ainda não terminou. Enquanto escrevo este post, já estou me preparando para curtir mais uma noite de muito rock neste domingo!
