Convict Lake - Mammoth Lakes, CA [EN/PT-BR]

Convict Lake is another one of those places that surprises you. You take a small road out of I395 (in front of Mammoth Lakes Airport), towards the mountains. You can't really see anything, you are just driving in a valley in the middle of the mountains and then everything opens up and you see this beautiful lake in the middle of the mountains. Any trip to Mammoth deserves a stop at Convict Lake.
This is a great place to go fishing, they have trouts stocked all season. The place is really calm and the view is breathtaking. Spending the day just sitting by the lake is a blessing. Just bring a chair, some snacks, and the fishing rod.
These pictures that you are going to see were taken in 2 different days. The first one was a super nice and warm day. The second day, even though it was sunny, it was cold a day with a lot of wind. We didn't spend much time there in the second day.
You can really tell the difference in the pictures from one day to another as it was a different time too. Second day was later in the day.

O Convict Lake é mais um daqueles lugares que surpreendem você. Você pega uma pequena estrada que sai da I395 (em frente ao aeroporto de Mammoth Lakes), em direção às montanhas. Você não consegue ver nada, está apenas dirigindo em um vale no meio das montanhas e, então, tudo se abre e você vê esse lindo lago no meio das montanhas. Qualquer viagem a Mammoth merece uma parada em Convict Lake.
Esse é um ótimo lugar para pescar, pois há trutas estocadas durante toda a temporada. O lugar é realmente calmo e a vista é de tirar o fôlego. Passar o dia apenas sentado à beira do lago é uma bênção. Basta levar uma cadeira, alguns petiscos e a vara de pescar.
As fotos que você vai ver foram tiradas em dois dias diferentes. O primeiro foi em um dia super agradável e quente. No segundo dia, embora estivesse ensolarado, o dia estava frio e com muito vento. Não passamos muito tempo lá no segundo dia.
Você pode realmente perceber a diferença nas fotos de um dia para o outro, pois o horário também era diferente. O segundo dia foi mais pro final do dia.
