The influence of minimalism on me isn't far-fetched and I can mention a few ways practicing minimalism is affecting my daily life positively. From the minute I step out of bed to my last activity of the day, minimalism plays a role that makes every day beautiful and memorable.
Every day starts with prayer and meditation. It has been a while since I started my day without these two things, and I can't even go on with other activities without them. The prayers are for gratitude, protection, and having a blessed day while my meditation pumps me with inspiration, courage, and optimum focus to go about doing my daily tasks.
After meditation, which comes second, I plan my day, listing out the things I need to achieve on that particular day. I see several apps that help with task organizing, but I prefer writing on my jotter with a pen; it feels very different and helps me stay focused, with no distractions.
I can snap or even copy the text on my phone because I won't go out with my jotter. I can go about with my phone, always checking what I have done and what's left. The most important tasks come first. I arrange them according to their importance, and it saves me time knowing what to do next. Immediately after one task is done, I don't have to start racking my brain for what's next.
Picking my outfit for every day isn't a problem because I always have my wardrobe planned for the week. Like today being Friday, I have my gown and big hijab on because it's Jumaat for all Muslims across the world.
I try not to skip meals and take rest when necessary because for every minimalist, staying healthy is important. I don't push myself too hard with anything and once my body wants a break, I take it.
During my break, I stroll around the environment I am in at that time. Whenever I feel like listening to music, I do that and it helps me to recharge quickly. I surf the internet and also visit my blogs too, to check out the new things happening around the world.
My problem with surfing the internet is that I usually get carried away with celebrity gist and gossip, which is time-wasting. Someone once called it my weakness, but I don't believe it because it can be worked on, and I am doing my best to stay disciplined while surfing the internet.
I now give myself time for it and there is this app disabling feature I learned about. The phone automatically disables apps at the time set, but my phone doesn't have the feature. I hope to find something similar in an app soon.
At the end of the day, I try to reflect on how my day went. Revisit moments or incidents that happened during the day to see if my approach was good or not, to know if I needed to just improve on how I did or do something different if such moments or incidents happened again.

My day ends with gratitude for every little achievement because it is a natural boost for the next day, and finally, prayer thanking God for a wonderful day. Even when some days come with setbacks, it doesn't change anything for me because all days can't be the same.
Thanks for your #KISS
We enjoyed it 😉
