UNFETTERED

Lately, it is just how I have been doing most of the things that I have always wanted. My life right now is one that I’m just happy about because every time I look back? It is all together just beautiful. I’m not wealthy or born with a silver spoon but then, I believe that I can get most of the basic things that I need to live each day to the fullest if I so desire. Basically, this will be the foundation for the things that help me to be freer even as a minimalist.

Over the years, I have learnt the importance of valuing the little things because without them, the big things will have no place. Few days back, I was a bit down due to a mistake I made and that felt like someone was blocking my air flow because I was at a crossroad not sure of what to do. Well, guess what? I figured out a way to catch my breath again and right now, I feel so free and even happier than ever. I’m very sure you are curious of how this happened, just do well to stay with me as I share this little trick with you.

You know, so many times, when we do something wrong or we find ourselves in some kind of trouble, the first thing we are most times tempted to do is loss hope of things ever going well again. We even start thinking of alternative ways to cope if things end up worse. Well, I was already in that part but somehow, I got into a conversation with some friends and that was how I got a very brilliant idea on how to get over the situation I was in.

In times when we feel lost and even miserable, one of the best but hard way to get over it is talking with someone or people. Try to ask some indirect questions that are similar to your kind of situation if you don’t want them to know of your personal situation. Doing this, you will be surprised how that can help you either overcome that feeling or get better results. We all have different perspectives about life and the challenges that anyone can face and that is why when you share yours with others, hearing what they have to say will most times give you a clearer picture on how to go about some things.

Trying to do things alone is good but it most times won’t give you the best results. Someone once said, if you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go with people. Unfortunately, sometimes we think going fast is the best but it isn’t at all. It’s just like a relay race, it finishes in no time because it is done by 4 persons and if you are lucky to have a good team, even when you are slow it won’t be so obvious and that is because the others will most times compensate for you.

So at the moment, what helps me become freer is sharing. Not just my problem but basically anything sharable. I’m beginning to learn that it is always best to share because if you continue keeping things to yourself, on days when you need help it will just be you against the world and that is one thing that mostly make the most of us loss our minds because going against the world all on your own is not just worth it even if you can. No matter what, even if it’s one or two persons, build that team today and watch yourself become freer.

Mind you, freedom is not doing what you want to do, true freedom is doing the right thing even when no one is watching you. It will be nice to hear people compliment me for the things I do but then, the satisfaction I get from doing the right thing is really fulfilling. You may or may not agree with me but then, it is what it is whether you and I accept it or nay.

Thanks for reading through. ❤️

Aw, how lovely. They say in English that a problem shared is a problem halved. It's nice you can have the guts to share your problems, or at least feel safe in doing so. Some people are too proud or unable to articulate what's bothering them. I know I can always talk to my Mum. We are all going through the same thing, mostly, aren't we? We all grieve, have anxieties, and so on. We share more things in common than not.

I totally agree with you and I'm happy you could relate this much with my thoughts.

Indeed, sometimes it's just hard to articulate our thoughts but other times, it's our ego that gets the most of us and makes it hard for us to share what bothers us.

Thanks for your beautiful input, Riverflows. 🌹

As it happens, I do agree with you. I find it very satisfying to share the burden (or the joy, as depends on the case) with the people around me, and despite it sounding easy to do, I don't think it is. At all. For some, asking for help or just letting on you're struggling can be very very hard, so I'm glad you've found a way to reach out and find your freedom :)

Yeah, it’s not easy at all, especially for the fact that some persons somehow just thinks you don’t have any troubles.

Asking takes a lot of courage these days because we always like assuming that everyone has problems which might be true but then, that doesn’t stop anyone from helping if they want to.

Thank you for your input. 🌹

After all, a problem shared is half solved and gives you a better insight on to tackle whatever challenges you might have left 🙂
