When it comes to wastage, it is one thing I have always frowned at. It is so bad that I get mad at myself if I was the one who is guilty of wasting something. Usually, I can be carefree about some things wasting away, but when it comes to food, that is almost unforgivable but I do understand that some things just happen and there was little or nothing that could have been done but the moment it becomes an habit, then it is unfortunate. But today, I won’t be sharing my story of how I make sure to avoid food wastage but something different and almost insignificant for some persons.
Growing up, I always enjoyed being the first person to use a new bath soup because it has all its qualities intact. But I noticed how quickly the soap always gets ugly and also exhausted and it was due to how it was used. Most people that I have lived with care little or nothing about how the bath soap is used as long as they get inside the bathroom and the bath soap is readily available for use. We can be so wasteful when it comes to our bath soap and that’s because we probably haven’t thought about good ways to avoid unnecessary wastage.
For me, I have learnt the hack of using my bath soap longer than usual after I noticed the main reason why it gets finish quickly and that’s because of the amount of wetness it is exposed to for a long time. Some people make use of a bath soap container to keep their bath soaps but then the bath soap container is the kind of container that can easily retain water and that makes it even worse. The soap is always moist and that leads to the bath soap easily melting and breaking while using it and I’m not sure about you but for me, the moment the bath soap is already halved, I usually find myself misusing it so it gets finished quickly so I can replace it.
So to avoid this unnecessary wastage, I decided to buy a better bath soap container that I can cover properly and it is not capable of retaining water. Ever since then, I use my bath soap for more than one month which was less than that before. And that way, I have been able to save myself some money and also keep the place where I keep the bath soap tidy in the process. I also save my soap from unhealthy exposure to bacteria and other things that might not be safe for my body if deposited on my soap.
So what about you? Have you ever thought about avoiding this kind of wastage? If not, it’s my pleasure sharing it with you!
Thank you for reading through. ❤️
Covering the bathing soap in other to avoid water further dripping into it is a good idea 👍, but I still think 🤔 it will still retain some amount of water because immediately after using the soap, some water contents usually remains on the surface of the soap.
Though am guilty as charged when it comes to leaving my bathing soap exposed 😁 but I guess I will start covering it from now
Thank you for sharing @hopestylist
Oh! Sorry, I didn't show it properly. Here's how it looks underneath. It can't retain water at all.
Yeah, and use a contain that let's water out when it enters.
It's my pleasure sharing with you, Sam. 🥰

Excellent idea! Been annoyed by this waste in my own house lately. So thanks for the tip, I'll look into getting a better soap holder myself! :)
I’m glad you found this helpful! I’m sure this will help that wastage to stop in your house. 🥰

Soaps are becoming more expensive these days. My mom always screams at me if i try to discard leftovers or don't keep them well. I recently learned a hack where you divide a bar of soap into four equal parts, or two depending on how big it is, and use one part untill it finishes before starting another. Honestly, my soap last longer now.
Sharing the soaps into multiple sizes is also a good way to avoid wastefulness. I rarely do that though because I like the soap at it’s original size but it’s a good idea when I start living with people I share my soap with.
Thank you for stopping by, Ngo. 🥰
I agree with you so much on this cos it's the very part of life people don't usually take note of.
For me, bathing soap gets irritated to me once it starts melting so I try my possible best in ensuring it's not exposed to wetness as well.
You would even see some people's soap not wet alone but even drawing like okro
Guyy! That one is annoying. I’m glad I’m not alone in this.
Thanks for stopping by, Kenny.
Yes you're not alone o😁... You're welcome 🤗
