#StylishSaturday reminded me of a compliment I received last year. I remember somewhere in December, an acquaintance of mine was having a conversation with me and out the blue I heard him say “you never miss, you know?”. I was lost so I asked “what?” with great confusion written all over my face. And that was when he said “you never do too much but you never miss. You always look good. I like your style”.
You should have seen how much I blushed that afternoon. That wasn’t the first time I was getting a compliment but the fact this one was centered on “you never do too much” made me really happy. For me, all that he said translated to I like your minimalist fashion style. And this was all thanks to my minimalist fashion hacks.
One of my billion dollar fashion hack as a minimalist is buying versatile clothes in low tone colors which can be dressed up and also dressed down. And that is why the basic things in my closet are a pair of jeans, and a pair of palazzo in nude and black. You can never go wrong with these three. If it’s a formal event, I throw on an office shirt on any of them. A regular hangout? I pair them with a basic top and I’ll be good to go.
This also goes for shoes. At the moment, I own two pairs of stilettos in black and nude. And they are probably the most versatile items I have because I match them with most of my outfits which require heels. Be it when I’m attending weddings, formal meetings, church service or even dinner nights.
Also, whatever I buy has to be of great quality and timeless. If it jeans, I make sure I spend a good amount of money to get a great pair. If it’s shoes, I spend a great amount of time, combing through thousands of pre loved shoes to get a very good pair. And although I know people would wonder why I would spend a good amount of money on Jeans as a minimalist.
Well, the goal is to get something of great quality that would last longer and never runs out of style. I mean of course, if it’s cheaper and of great quality, then count me in. If not, miss me with all that. And it’s not only clothes, same goes for jewelries as well. Most of the jewelries I own are 3 to 4 years old and they still look as good as new. And the best part is, they all can be used to dress up or dress down.
Beyond all of these hacks, the one thing I always ensure before stepping out is comfortability. I believe that no matter how I dress, the most important part of my outfit as a minimalist and a lady is confidence. And that is mostly dependent on how comfortable I am in my outfit.

It’s always a pleasure ✨
Wow! These jewelleries are sparkling and look just as new. Quality over quantity 🥹🤝🏾
Thank you
Exactly, that’s the goal.
💖💝
I love your jewelry box.
Less means more, having few quality items is far better than having a quantity of them and still doesn't have what to wear for an occasion.
