Last month, my city hosted the event O Dia de Rock (Rock Day), and of course I wasn't going to miss it. One of the shows that night was from the band Matanza Ritual. Even though their style – countrycore, a mix of hardcore punk, country, and heavy metal – isn't exactly what I usually listen to, I actually think they're really cool.

This was the third time I’ve seen them live, and I can confidently say: they never disappoint. Their stage presence is insane, and the energy they bring is contagious, even for people who aren’t hardcore fans of the genre. They’re the kind of band that makes the ground shake and gets the whole crowd going from start to finish.

Watching the crowd sing along, jump, and go wild with every riff was amazing. The vocals still have that strong, slightly sarcastic tone that’s a trademark of the band. The mix of heaviness and charisma is what makes Matanza stand out so much – and honestly, they sound even better live.

Even though it’s not my favorite style, I truly admire the band, their talent, and how much they give on stage. Every second of the show was worth it, and it reminded me why I’d already seen them twice before. No wonder – these guys absolutely kill it.

The event itself was also really cool: great setup, quality sound, and a super hyped crowd. In the end, it was one of those nights that are totally worth remembering.

No mês passado rolou aqui na minha cidade o evento O Dia de Rock, e claro que eu não ia perder. Um dos shows de uma das noites foi da banda Matanza Ritual, que apesar de não ser exatamente do estilo que eu mais escuto - o 'countrycore', que é
uma mistura de hardcore punk, country e heavy metal - , é uma banda que eu realmente acho legal.

Esse foi o terceiro show deles que fui na vida, e posso dizer com tranquilidade que os caras nunca decepcionam. Eles tem uma presença de palco absurda, uma energia que contagia mesmo quem não é fã de carteirinha do som. É aquele tipo de banda que faz o chão tremer e o público ir à loucura do início ao fim.

Ver a galera cantando junto, pulando, curtindo cada riff, foi massa demais. O vocal segue com aquela pegada forte e meio debochada que é marca registrada da banda. A combinação de peso e carisma é o que faz o Matanza se destacar tanto – ao vivo, eles são ainda melhores.

Mesmo não sendo meu estilo favorito, eu admiro muito a banda, o talento e a entrega que eles têm no palco. Valeu cada segundo do show e me lembrou por que eu já tinha visto outras duas apresentações deles antes. Não é à toa: os caras mandam muito.

O evento em si também foi muito legal, com boa estrutura, som de qualidade e um público animado. No fim das contas, foi uma daquelas noites que valem a pena registrar.
