I'm happy to report that this weekend was much better that my last one. No more trips to the Emergency Room and that chest pain has since vanished. Still no explanation as to why it ever happened in the first place! But as long as it's gone I'll take the win! I hope you are all having a great week so far.
For all of those who know me you know I'm a silver lover, and I can never resist sharing some cool music related silver when I happen upon it. This morning I found a really nice item being produced for the Solomon Islands celebrating the Fender Telecaster electric guitar.

From APMEX.com
These are legal tender coins from the Solomon Islands that are being produced by PAMP, one of the most respected precious metal producers in the world out of Switzerland. This is a blind box, meaning what you get will be a surprise. Each of seven varieties are one Troy ounce of solid silver colorized to replicate legendary Telecaster guitars produced by Fender over the last 75 years. It's amazing to think that the Telecaster has been around that long, and it's still a very popular guitar!
They are only making 4,000 of these, however, since there are seven designs I'm not quite sure how each one is allocated number wise. Still a very cool silver replica of the Telecaster. Sadly, these are way overpriced at $199.99. I guess Fender takes a cut, PAMP takes a cut, and the Solomon Islands take cut... Then APMEX marks it up even more to make a profit, everyone needs their piece of the pie I suppose... I won't be buying one personally, but I do find them very cool. I just refuse to pay that much for one Troy ounce of silver!
Since it is Tuesday it's time for another Three Tune Tuesday. But first off, I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze .
Since the Rock Hall of Fame announced their inductees for 2026 last week, I thought it might be fun to play a few songs from some of those artists. This year they are inducting: Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Phil Collins, New Order/Joy Division, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, Wu-Tang Clan, Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifa, MC Lyte, Gram Parsons, Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, Rick Rubin and Ed Sullivan.
Do I agree with some of those? No, absolutely not. But no one asked my opinion. And New Order and Joy Division were actually two different bands and shouldn't be grouped together. But like I said, no one asked me!

This rock n' roller is a great induction this year. Just like all the selections in this TTT he comes from England and fronted the punk band Generation X in the late 1970's. In 1982 he released his self titled solo album which became a huge commercial success shooting him to superstardom. I have had a chance to see him live once, he puts on a great show if you ever get the chance to get some tickets. This song comes off his debut album and is called "White Wedding":

Phil Collins is of course a legend in his own right, already in the Hall of Fame with the band Genesis, this is his second induction. He had a huge solo career throughout the 1980's and produced some very memorable music. The one that always sticks in my mind is "In The Air Tonight":

It's taken a very, very long time for this band from London to make into the Hall of Fame. First formed in 1975 they really hit the mainstream when they added singer Bruce Dickinson to their lineup prior to producing their 1982 album The Number of the Beast. It is often lauded as one of the best heavy metal albums ever recorded. They are one of the best heavy metal bands of all time and they're induction into the Hall if long overdue. This song comes off of their album Powerslave from 1984, "Aces High" that salutes the airman who flew for the British during World War II.

Of course left off the nominee list this year was the ever absent Mötley Crüe. The Hall of Fame is more about politics than anything anymore, and so many bands that belong are left off simply because they rubbed someone the wrong way at some point in their career. It's also a shame that the Rock Hall of Fame no longer inducts rock stars, they induct everybody from all genres. They should have stuck to rock, but like I said earlier, no one ever asked me...
That will do it for this Tuesday, and I hope you enjoyed the picks of the week. Also those coins are pretty cool as well, too bad they are so overpriced! Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and as always thank you so much for all of your support. It really does mean a lot to me. Have a great Tuesday everyone!

There are so many good nominees this year. It's such a tough class. There are going to be so many people who don't make it in that really deserve it.
That is the actual list of inductees, they already made their selection for the year! A lot of people got left out as always...
Yeah, there were a ton of really good nominees this year. I didn't see it was all over until your post.

Very good that the chest pain went away my friend!👍
Now I will have Phil Collins in the air tonight stuck in my head Lol!😇👍😊
Phil Collins's voice always feels so soft for me, and it reminds me of my childhood when I heard his songs when I was still a kid, even though I didn't understand any of it back then.
great pick up my friend.

All three are well deserved.

An excellent selection of artists who are quite well-known in the world of music and especially Rock. It's interesting what you mentioned at the end about the Hall of Fame and its preference for artists who don't have any political or social problems with anyone. Rock is supposed to be a movement of rebellion, freedom, and all that, but when it comes to filling an important position, the rules actually matter. Funny, huh?
But anyway, excellent work.
