More Ladies of Rock N' Roll for Three Tune Tuesday

Tuesday has rolled around again, amazing how the weeks are flying by. Soon it's going to be February, after all, we're halfway through January already. I hope the month has been treating you all well so far. I really can't complain myself, I just got back from a nice walk in the warm sun. Now I have to get back to work, I have to make a living somehow!

Since it is Tuesday I decided to throw together a fun Three Tune Tuesday. Following up on last week's theme with more ladies of rock n' roll. But first off I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. The Runaways

The Runaways were an all female band who loved to rock. Often fronted by Cherie Currie or Joan Jett, they were only around from 1975 until 1979. They produced some great songs in that time period before breaking up and kicking off the careers of Joan Jett and Lita Ford. The band inspired a whole new generation of female rock stars and are often considered a musical influence until this very day. Here is "Cherry Bomb":

Pat Benatar

This rock n' roll legend launched her career in the 1970's. After years of working several jobs including a singing waitress, she was offered a record deal in 1979 that resulted in the album In the Heat of the Night. It featured one of her biggest hits "Heartbreaker". She had a string of hits throughout the 1980's, and one of my favorites has always been "Hit Me With Your Best Shot":

Nita Strauss

Nita is one of the best known female guitarists in the industry today. Her guitar skills are nothing short of amazing. Based out of Los Angeles she is currently the guitarist for Alice Cooper and has been the touring guitarist for Demi Lovato. She has had a very successful solo career featuring several well known artists. Interestingly, she is currently pregnant I learned from @bozz . At any rate, she is amazing, here she is playing "Victorious" featuring Dorothy, it's a great song!
