Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! It's once again March 17 meaning the Irish day of celebration is here once again! St. Patrick is Ireland's foremost patron saint and it is traditionally believed he died on this date around 461 AD. The day generally celebrates the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and is celebrated by the wearing of green and shamrocks, not to mention the drinking of libations. It's always a fun day to head to an Irish bar!
And of course since it has also become associated with leprechauns, gold and good luck I would be remiss if I didn't share a little gold!

These shamrock design coins were produced by Niue last year are are composed of 0.04 Troy ounces of pure gold. Not a very heavy coin, but it does make it more affordable! Only 1,000 were minted and they sell for $350. Yes, a bit expensive as the gold value is only about $200, but you will have the luck of the Irish and of Niue! I don't own one, and currently have no plans to buy one, unless I find a very good deal!
Since it is Tuesday, this all leads right into Three Tune Tuesday. But first off I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze .
Today will be all bands from Ireland!

This legendary Irish rock band formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1976. They were one of my favorite bands back in the 1980's and always put on a great show. The were inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame back in 2005 and are still an active band after all of these years. This is one of their earlier songs that is based on an event that took place in Ireland in 1972 called Bloody Sunday. British soldiers shot 26 unarmed civilians during a protest in Bogside Northern Ireland. This the song is called "Sunday Bloody Sunday":

The Cranberries were and Irish rock band that formed in Limerick, Ireland in 1989. In 1990 they picked up singer Dolores O'Riordan and the rest was history. They became on of the biggest bands of the 1990's and produced some great music. Sadly O'Riordan passed away in 2018 which brought the band to an end, may she rest in peace. But here is one of their great songs performed live in London in 1994, "Zombie":

The Corrs are a rock band consisting of four siblings, three sisters Andrea, Sharon, and Caroline, and their brother Jim. They had a lot of hit songs throughout the 1990's and early 2000's, and garnered a lot of attention as the three sisters were all gorgeous. They always liked to embrace their Irish roots and would often play Irish folk music, here is one they played live in Dublin called "Toss The Feathers":

That will wrap up this Three Tune Tuesday, St. Patrick's Day edition. I hope you all enjoyed and have a fun and safe celebration (if you do celebrate!) Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and thank you for all of your support. I deeply appreciate it!

U2 is still one of my favorite bands. They are just so amazing. I haven't dug into their new EP yet. I should do that. On another note, have you listened to Inhaler much? It's Bono's son and they freaking rock.
They are awesome aren't they? I've not heard their latest one either. I'll have to check out Inhaler, I've not checked them out. If they know how to rock it's my kind of band!
Gotta check out some Flogging Molly!
That song is awesome, very cool!

Always enjoyed U2's music. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For is one of my favorites of theirs. The Cranberries was another good one. I had forgotten about them. Plan to listen to moreof their stuff later.
I do love some old fashioned Irish folk music though. My favorites for that is The Clancy Brothers.
Have a happy St. Patrick’s Day, my friend!🤗
I will be out in the Mountains looking for, one of these gold four leaf clovers Lol!🤣😇☺️
Nice choices! Always loved U2 and The Cranberries

It's great to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and even better that you're giving us gold, that's really awesome! I also love music, but a different kind, hehe.
