Furby and some great music from the 1990's!

Furby was released in October of 1998 and became the "must have" toy for every single kid out there. They were able to speak their own language "Furbish" but English words were added in later. These cute little electronic toys sold like absolute wildfire with 30 million units cleared off of store shelves in the first three years they were produced. It made the company Hasbro a fortune! But these fuzzy friends first were introduced to use in the 1990's!

Since it's Friday again it's time for another edition of Nineties Friday. For those unfamiliar with it, this is an event that comes around each Friday where you can create a post to share just about anything from the 1990's. It's a lot of fun, just use the tag #ninetiesfriday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @geneeverett . He started the event and someone usually walks away with some prizes!

Now for some music from the decade!

Extreme

This band from Boston, Massachusetts formed in 1985. Their first self-titled album was released in 1989 but didn't perform very well. However, their second album Pornograffiti from 1990 peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and sold like wildfire. Many may remember the biggest hit on the album, the acoustic "More Than Words", but the one I always preferred was the glam metal "Decadence Dance". For those who are fans of the Bill & Ted films, actor Alex Winter (Bill) directed this music video. It's a lot of fun, enjoy!

AC/DC

This band from down under has been a rock n' roll staple since the 1970's. However, in 1980 with the addition of Brian Johnson as lead vocalist they shot to the top of the charts with the album Back in Black. They weren't done in the 80's, and they proved it with the release of the album Thunderstruck in 1990. The lead track off of the album was of course "Thunderstruck", and just a fun tidbit of information. "Thunderstruck" is the most expensive song to use in a movie as the band gets paid $1 million for it's use! Here's "Thunderstruck":

White Zombie

Halloween is slowly sneaking up on us as October is just around the corner. So I thought I would add in some early fun with the band led by front man Rob Zombie. White Zombie was named after the movie "White Zombie" from 1932 considered to be the first zombie film ever created. The band formed in 1985 in New York City, but didn't to well until they switched to the heavy metal genre. Their fourth and final album Astro-Creep: 2000 had probably their biggest hit in 1995 with "More Human Than Human".

Hole

What's the nineties without something a little more grunge? So I'm going with Hole for this next one. This band from Hollywood, California led by none other than Courtney Love . Their best performing album was their their third called Celebrity Skin. The lead track carried the same name, here's "Celebrity Skin":
