It's hard to believe it's already March, at this rate it will be Christmas and New Year's before we know even know it. I guess such is life, the world keeps on turning and we can't slow it down. Since it's Tuesday again I decided to throw together another Three Tune Tuesday, and those who know me know I do like hard rock, but also have eclectic musical tastes. I've even a big fan of Mozart's music! So today I decided it would be fun to do a theme based TTT!
The other day I found this silver guitar pick up for sale, and the first thing that caught my eye was Fender. They are the well known guitar/amp producer founded by Leo Fender back in 1946. One of the best known guitars ever produced was the Fender Stratocaster used by many legendary musicians. The next thing that caught my eye was the producer of this silver beauty, PAMP, a Swiss precious metal producing company with a long history of producing some of the finest gold and silver in the world.
Interestingly, they are only made in sterling silver (.925) rather than pure silver and contains 10 grams of silver. It's a nice piece of silver memorabilia, but at $109 I think it's overpriced. Just my opinion... But that brings me to the them of today, songs with silver in the title. I don't do themes often, so this should be fun, and maybe a complete disaster!
But first off I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze .

Formed in 1975 by Ritchie Blackmore upon his first departure from the band Deep Purple. He recruited a talented young singer Ronnie James Dio to front the band and the rest was history. Dio was one of the most talented rock n' roll vocalists of all time, famously replacing Ozzy Osbourne to front Black Sabbath in 1979. But as a band Rainbow produced some excellent hard rock music that is still a lot of fun to listen to until this very day.
The very first song the theme silver brought to my mind was their song "Man On The Silver Mountain":

The Beatles were a band that really came well before my time but so much of their music is timeless. It's hard to believe that only two of them are still around, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Neither of them are exactly spring chickens and likely won't be with us too much longer either. But, as a band, they really brought rock n' roll back to the mainstream of music. I don't know all of their albums well to be honest, and really know their better known songs having grown up in the 80's. They were brilliant musicians and songwriters.
Today's second song is one I really didn't know at all, one written by Paul McCartney for the White album but was published later. This is "Maxwell's Silver Hammer":

This legendary hard rock band formed in New York City back in 1973. They have since gone into complete retirement but not before leaving a half century of recording and touring. But they will always be remembered for their iconic face paint and costumes, and they always had a catchy sound. Today's song really isn't one I knew all that well other than the name to be honest. But then again, I'm not a die hard KISS fan. I do like most of their music with the exception of "Beth" which sucked... Just my personal opinion!
This one is called "Silver Spoon" and has the typical and catchy KISS sound.

That will wrap up this edition of Three Tune Tuesday, I do hope you enjoyed it! Maybe you can afford to add the silver Fender guitar pick to you stack! Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and as always thank you for all of your support. It really means a lot to me. Have a great day everyone!

That is pretty cool. I like that they are numbered too. That I think probably gives them a bit more value. Probably not $109 for ten grams though!
Thanks! I thought it was a fun start to a TTT anyway! lol
Nice classics! Kiss was bigger then the Beatles in my old hood 🤣🎸
Swing by later, picked some classics for TTT!

I wonder if there will be an actual guitar player who will use their pick to play. :)
Very interesting pick my friend.

No, it would be too stiff to use as a pick. Thanks, I thought it was a great way to kick off a Three Tune Tuesday!

Interesting that they minted this in Sterling .925….
If it wasn’t so overpriced, I would definitely want to add this to our stack, since I am a guitar player💪🤗
A little expensive I agree, but really cool. I guess Fender wanted their cut as well as PAMP!

I bought one of those guitar picks as a gift for a friend several years ago. He actually used it on stage the next night to play my favorite song they played.
