It Tuesday again which can only mean one thing, another Three Tune Tuesday. I've been out of action the last few days not having felt all that well, but I'm on the mend! So today I decided to go with a different theme than I've done for some time, and go with some alternative rock, post- punk and new wave music from the late seventies and the early eighties. It should be a lot of fun and I hope you all enjoy it!
However, before we get going, I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze .

Formed in Los Angeles, California in 1978 the band found commercial success in 1980 with their singles of "The Metro" and "Sex (I'm A...) Later on they went onto release "Take My Breath Away", but long before that success came some of their best music. They are still around and touring, so you might be able to catch a show at some point! Here is: "The Metro"

This Welsh rock band was formed in 1981. Coming out of the punk era they embraced post-punk and new wave in their emerging alternative rock sound. In 1984they released their first album, Declaration, and found huge success with "Sixty-eight Guns". Today's song comes off their third album called Eye of the Hurricane and is called "Rescue Me":

Formed in New York City in 1974 by Debbie Harry on vocals and Chris Stein on guitar, this legendary punk and new wave band became one of the best bands of the late seventies and early eighties. Although they had some success with their first two albums, it wasn't until their release of Parallel Lines in 1978 that made them a mainstream band. This song comes from that same album and is called "Hanging On The Telephone". It's a cover of a song originally be The Nerves.

That will do it for this Tuesday! Feels good to be back in action and sharing again here on Hive. I hope you're all having a great week so far! Please feel free to leave an comments or questions below, and as always thank you for all of your support. It's deeply appreciated. Have a great week everyone!

Brilliant ttt! I love them all but Blondie wins it hands down. Parallel Lines is easily in my top ten albums of all time.
I love your perspective on this. Thanks for bringing such value to the community
The Alarm took me by surprise. Good one! I'll have to check it out more.
