It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 168 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Playlist Shuffle for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 167 - win 12 HBI

Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the TWELVE sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽผ and #threetunetuesday

Let's fluffing go. rev the time machine up, put on those flares and head on over back to the 1970s!

Is there anything more synonymous with Sweden than the musical group ABBA? I am not so sure apart maybe Volvo boxy but safe cars and lorries!

Maybe IKEA and their meatballs havetaken over ABBA's mantle!

Picking three tunes from ABBA is going to be a right old nightmare, I reeled off five off the top of my head and I am not an ABBA fan.

So I shall pick three and leave you with their most famous as a bonus.

If you did read the post from LUKT then you know what that bonus song is!

ABBA โ€“ WATERLOO (Sweden 1974 โ€“ Eurovision Song Contest HD)

The 6th of April 1974 is what propelled them on the road to stardom when they won the political musical contest Eurovision.

50 fluffing years ago!

I don't even remember much of the lyrics but I do know that whenever I went to Waterloo train station in London when I used to work there, I would be humming the blasted song!

I discovered that the final was in Brighton, England 1974 so the song Waterloo makes sense afterall!

image.png

If you want to know more ABBA including how they were formed and all their accolades and achievements then I recommend you check out the official site called no surprises here ABBA

For exampla I knew the group was made up of two men (Benny Andersson and Bjรถrn Ulvaeus )and two women (Agnetha Fรคltskog and Anni-Frid โ€œFridaโ€ Lyngstad) and they married and also got divorced.

But I never knew that the name ABBA is just the initials of the four members.

Nor did I know ABBA was also the name of a Swedish canned fish company, apparently they didn't mind lending their name to a pop group. A bit of free publicity couldn't hurt their business...right!

ABBA - Chiquitita

Without a shadow of a doubt this is my favourite ABBA song, I mean the piano at the end ... simply awesome!

And the lyrics and me, how fitting!

image.png

Are you humming or singing along yet, or maybe you are tapping those feet of yours?

Still in the 1970s and lets play a song that I am sure @deraaa will like as it is a favourite topic amongst so many everywhere ...

ABBA - Money Money Money

image.png

Of course there is only song that can end this three tune tuesday post!

I did mention it before, and I think we should hear LUKT sing her version of it ....

Surprisingly enough this was their only US number 1 hit!

BONUS TUNE ~ Abba - Dancing Queen

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life.
See that girl, watch that scene, diggin' the dancing queen.

image.png

I hope that you enjoyed these ABBA tunes.

Which was your favourite (if any) ? Or is it not one I played?

Note: The four YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ

Oh my Mom loved ABBA! I heard some of their songs from herโ€ฆ I look forward to listening)โ€ฆ.

Not feeling Waterloo so much. Reminds me of something Iโ€™d sing with Barney and friends ๐Ÿ˜‚

Okay. Chiquitita is quite emotional somewhat. And I love the drums I hear. I enjoy this one ๐Ÿฅน yeah those lyrics! Wait!!! Ahhh. It picked up and those voices wooooot!

I knew you would like Money Money Money and seemed so appropriate lol

Yeah Dancing Queen seems to be the one everyone knows. There are loads of course but thought this would be a fun listen for you.

But Chiquitita still does it for me.

I love the music of ABBA, and the movie Mamma Mia was one of my favourites. I'm just sorry the musical did not come to Durban, the big shows only tour Johnannesburg and Cape Town. If it ever comes back, I for sure will book a flight and pay my son a visit in Jozi!
Nice choice of songs @tengolotodo.
PS forgot to add, my most favourite also is Chiquitita!

0E-8 BEE

Oh so Durban missed out... so much for my geography I thought all three were pretty similar.
Well I am sure your son would be happy to see you if it toured again!
Ah yes I think Chiquitita wins it for a few people Lizzie!

0E-8 BEE

Nothing wrong with your geography Ed!
Durban is the Cinderella when it comes to big live shows due to high venue costs AND Durban folk are way too laidback so will start scrambling for seats at the last minute.

I totally forgot about Money Money Money. Probably one of my favorites when I was a kid. I still have the ABBA Gold album on vinyl. I remember my dad had copy of it too. They have so many good songs, but I think Fernando is one of my favorites. I never even knew Chiquitita until I was older.

0E-8 BEE

Oh Fernando was right up there as one of their biggest hits. There were so many great songs they had. Ah the Gold album that is cool! You can't beat vinyl for promo editions.

I have always enjoyed every ABBA song, especially the winner takes all.

Oh yes The Winner takes all is another classic!

It's hard to go wrong with ABBA, they produced some great music in their time. Those were some fun picks to listen to this morning, it's been awhile. It takes me days to catch up on everyone's TTT these days.... lol
