A reunion with Grunge [EN/PT]

I've always been involved in music, and as a child I was strongly influenced by my stepfather when it came to rock music. I remember when we used to drive around in his Toyota Bandeirantes listening to Dire Straits and other bands from the 70s and 80s.

After a while, when I was in my teens, I followed in my own footsteps with my musical tastes and I really liked heavy rock. Metal took me to different sensations that I hadn't experienced before, but it was just a phase. I fell in love with grunge and that was my choice of musical style, which has stayed with me all my life.

One of my favorite bands was Nirvana. I collected everything related to them for a long time. I had all the CDs, posters, shirts and so on. But after a while, I got rid of this collection and ended up giving it to a lot of friends who liked Nirvana. Listening to the songs was enough for me.

Well, I've only told you part of the story about my involvement with music, where grunge was one of the musical styles I liked the most, but my story is extensive, with involvement in bands and concerts that I'll like to tell you about another time.

Today's content is about a concert I went to this weekend, featuring a grunge band that took my thoughts back to the time when I was breathing this movement.

I didn't expect a grunge band to play at this event, I was distracted and went there because my girlfriend invited me. I loved the bar and its different environments spread over three floors, I knew that bands would be playing there, but grunge is disappearing here, it's hard to see a band in this style. But the atmosphere was good, I saw some friends and was given a couple of beer mugs by them. It was a good night anyway.

The upper part of the venue was a quieter place, good for those looking for a chat. On the first floor was the dance floor, where the evening's shows would take place. The place is beautiful, well decorated and you feel like you're in a cozy place if you're up high. The food is good and the beer is even better.

After exploring the place a bit, it was time for the show, and as I said before, I was surprised. The band is called 90's and they played songs by various grunge bands, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Silverchair and so on. The guys are great musicians and really move you. It was an incredible show that gave me good feelings that I hadn't felt for a long time.

It was a great night, me, my girlfriend and two friends stayed up until the early hours and watched another band play. This second band was also good, but not as good as the 90's band. It was amazing to be there and by a good coincidence, I remembered some classics that I hadn't heard in a while, even though I never stopped loving them.

Eu sempre tive envolvimento com música, e quando criança, tive uma forte influência do meu padrasto em relação ao rock. Me lembro de quando a gente viajava em sua Toyota Bandeirantes escutando Dire Straits e outras bandas dos anos 70 e 80.

Depois de um tempo já na adolescência, eu segui meus próprios passos com gostos musicais e gostava muito de rock pesado, o metal me levou a sensações diferentes que não tinha experimentado, mas foi só uma fase. Me apaixonei pelo Grunge e essa foi a minha escolha de estilo musical que me acompanhou durante toda a minha vida.

Uma das minhas bandas favoritas não poderia deixar de ser Nirvana. Eu colecionava por muito tempo tudo que fosse relacionado a eles. Eu tinha todos os CDs, vários posters, camisas e afins. Mas depois de um tempo, fui me desfazendo dessa coleção e acabei presenteando muitos amigos que gostavam de Nirvana. Escutar as músicas era suficiente para mim.

Bem, eu contei apenas uma parte da história sobre meu envolvimento com a música, onde o grunge foi um dos estilos musicais do qual eu mais gostei, mas a minha história é extensa, com envolvimento em bandas e shows que vou gostar de contar em um outro momento.

O conteúdo de hoje é sobre um show desse fim de semana do qual eu fui e lá estava presente uma banda de Grunge que levou meus pensamentos para a época em que eu respirava esse movimento.

Eu não esperava que uma banda de Grunge iria tocar nesse evento, eu fui distraído e fui até lá porque minha namorada me convidou. Eu adorei o bar e seus diversos ambientes distribuídos em três andares, sabia que bandas iriam tocar lá, mas o grunge está desaparecido por aqui, é difícil ver uma banda nesse estilo. Mas o ambiente era bom, vi alguns amigos e fui presenteado com algumas canecas de chopp por eles. A noite estava boa de qualquer jeito.

Na parte superior do local, era um lugar mais tranquilo, bom para aqueles que buscavam por conversas. No térreo era a pista de dança, onde aconteceria os shows da noite. O lugar é bonito, bem decorado e você se sente em um lugar aconchegante se estiver nas partes altas. A comida é boa e a cerveja é ainda melhor.

Depois de explorar um pouco desse lugar era a hora do show, e como disse antes, fui surpreendido. A banda se chama 90's e tocaram músicas de diversas bandas grunge, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Silverchair e etc. Os caras são ótimos músicos e realmente mexem com você. Foi um show incrível que me trouxe boas sensações, das quais há muito tempo não sentia.

Foi uma ótima noite, eu, minha namorada e dois amigos ficamos até altas horas e ainda assistimos outra banda tocar. Essa segunda banda também era boa, mas não tão boa quanto a 90's. Foi incrível estar ali e por uma boa coincidência, relembrei alguns clássicos que faziam tempo que não escutava, mesmo nunca deixando de amá-los.
